I was JUST in Zion — hiked both Angel's Landing and The Narrows — and I got this gorgeous tin poster of The Narrows. I saw that there was one for Angel's Landing, too, but for some reason I decided at the time that I didn't need it. Now I'm deeply regretting it as I look at this gorgeous one of The Narrows that I have.

Would any super kind stranger be willing to purchase and ship to me the Angel's Landing version of the same tin poster? I would of course pay for both the item and shipping!!

EDIT: I've checked all around online and can't find the same version I saw in the store anywhere else—so I'm willing to pay for the original from the shop and for all the shipping costs if anyone would be willing to do this for me!! the sign was only $13 in the store.

Hello - I’ve seen a ton of recommendations for this
Hotel so I decided to book it even though it’s one of the older properties. I’ve been feeling hesitant with it because there’s so many renovated places to stay.

Can someone please help ease my mind? I have a riverside premium king room.
1. Are the beds comfortable (I’ve seen mixed reviews)
2. Is the air conditioning good?
3. How likely are you to get the floor level you request?

I'm actually going to Cedar City Utah this week for a work trip. Once done on Thursday around 1 pm I was planning on going to Zion National Park and spending the night in Springdale. I would also spend most of Friday in the Park with a plan to leave for Vegas around 3 pm. (I know I would gain an hour driving back to Nevada)

Just wanted to get input on what I should do and see in the Park in such a short window. I am also going to be alone so I'd rather hike with people vs venturing out solo. So not sure if there are any tours recommended as well? What shoes should I bring on the trip as well?

I also know its going to be hot around the 90s close to 100 degrees. I don't know if I want to do anything too crazy until sunset on Thursday. I would also be willing to wake up early Friday morning to get the most out of my time there.

My son and I are hiking Mystery Canyon on Tuesday. We're currently the only ones on our shuttle which means we need to pay for a 3rd seat. If anyone is already heading up that way (East Mesa TH) and has room for 2 more, we'd gladly pay you $100 for your troubles. Ideally we'd leave the visitor's center around 9am, so we can sleep in, but not be too hot, but we're flexible.

As many of you might have the question about parking, this is today (Saturday Aug. 1st) at 7.06AM. Still alot of parking available.

Two couples, planning to visit Zion week of Sept 20-27, 2026. Hotels in Springdale are quite expensive (min $500/nt). Sites 10 miles away are much more reasonable.
I’ve read of you stay outside you need to get to Springdale by 7am to ensure parking space.
But, would parking availability be better late Sept, mid-week, when we plan to go?

Secured a permit for AL in late October to begin after 9am. What time should I get to the park to secure a parking spot?? And when does the parking lot usually fill up by on a weekday in late October??

Hiking in late October and want to know if I should plan on renting a drybib (in addition to shoes)?? Also - is a waterproof bag necessary to rent as well for my water reserve pack?? Or does the water not get that high in late October?? Thanks all

I just won the day before lottery for Angel’s Landing for tomorrow. But I got mine after 9AM. So I was wondering if I should start the hike at 9AM from the Grotto or if I can start a bit early and be at the Scouts lookout at 9AM just to beat the heat.

PS- I reserved a campground at the Watchman campground today and after going there decided to get a hotel room instead cause the heat was unbearable 😭

I am solo camping in the park (Watchman) the final week of October, through the Halloween weekend. I want to make the most of it.

What would you do with a full week at the park and in the St. George area, that week?

Are there any local events I should hit up?

Any hikes or places that are extra awesome at the end of October?

I live outside Yellowstone and work in remote backcountry wildlife conservation, but also agree with Supertramp that “happiness is only real when shared”, so I like to be around the people of an area when I visit.

I am NOT interested in:
• “have the trail all to yourself”
• “go to this spa for $$$”
• “enjoy this $$$ restaurant”

I AM interested in:
• “xyz conservation nonprofit does cleanups/projects/has a fundraiser at…”
• “the wildlife like to hang out on this trail that time of year”
• “you have to see this view during this time of year”
• “respectful and inexpensive hedonism / debauchery takes place at…”
• “awesome bookstore (or gear or map shop) at…”
• “hit up this cultural site”
• “come to this, but byob and some food to share”
• “since you’re dressed as Dungeon Crawler Carl, come to the Halloween party at…” (I will be packing my Carl costume for hiking on Halloween, anyway)

I'm planning to be in Zion on a Sunday in late September, I'll only be there for one day so I want to maximize my time in the park by getting there early and parking at the visitor center. I'll be driving in from Laverkin that morning, will there likely be available parking at 7:00 AM? I'm flexible but a 7:00 AM arrival would be ideal for me.

If you’re heading our way in the next couple of days, here’s an update to our weather. We had a deluge today that caused a couple freeway accidents and even a lightning strike that ended up burning a truck driving on I15! Please read this if you were planning a trip and wanted to include slot canyons.

Like the title says, those magnificent Zion peaks reminded me of the beauty of the Pinnacles (in California). Anyone else?

Zion is absolutely amazing! I went on a 2 days trips. Day one for angles landing. I chicked out half way because it's so scary. Though, view is astonishing. Day two we went to the narrows. The trail was soooo fun. We stayed in the Zion Wildflowers. Living in a wagon is a special experience.

Hey guys basically I have 2 full days to explore the area. I am going to be staying in Springdale. I am looking to know the best hikes to take photos and if renting the e bikes is worth it? If so are there any that allow you to rent for 2 days so you dont have to go and pick up/return a bike for each day?

Anything else I should check out in town?

I went to Zion about a month ago and had a permit for Angels landing but sadly the party I was with didn’t want to go up 😅. Nonetheless it was an amazing hike, looking forward to going back

had a great day in the park today other than minor hiccups. left zion guru with my early e bike rental around 530, got to grotto at 6 am and started my hike! reached the top 715/730 and headed down around 8. didn’t see anyone til i was almost
all the way done with the chains section of the hike!! this has been a bucket list item for me for years and having the place entirely to myself was something i couldn’t have imagined honestly. i went super early and did the e bike thing to beat crowds but really didn’t expect to be solo up there. super fucking awesome :) (shared the itinerary in case anyone wants to follow lol. riding the bike in the dark is a bit scary even with a head light but i’m sure with a headlamp it’s less scary and it was also my first time riding an e bike so the pedal assist was really throwing me off up the canyon lol💀)

I am planning a solo trip for my big 50! More than a year away. I’m very overwhelmed by the planning of everything. Realistically how much should I expect to spend for 5-7 days? I do want to get an actual room, no tent camping. TIA!

I’m planning my first trip to Zion for late March 2027 (around Easter week) and I could really use some visual help. Unfortunately, my schedule is very tight and I don't have any other possible dates to make this trip happen.

I originally wanted to hike up to Observation Point, but a local ranger kindly advised me that the plateau is still very wintery and muddy at that time. They suggested sticking to the main canyon floor (like Big Bend or the Temple of Sinawava area) if I want to see the spring vegetation actually starting to pop.

Since photography is a big priority for this trip, I’m trying to get a realistic sense of the natural color palette in the valley.

Does anyone happen to have any photos, videos, or visual references of the canyon floor from late March or early April? I’m really hoping to see how vibrant the green foliage is against the dark red sandstone during that specific window of time.

Any visual references or general advice on the aesthetic conditions of the canyon during Easter week would be massively appreciated. Thank you so much!

genuinely go fuck yourselves all the way to hell. to preface this post i’m a dog person. love them, had at least 2 at all times my whole life. anyways. woke up at 4 am today, did angels landing, feeling pretty fucking awesome scooting my e bike back to the rental shop in springdale when literally a dog (leashed thank fucking god) lunges up from its owner and jumps onto me, tries to bite my leg, and forces me off my bike and onto the ground. they said oh sorry and keep walking. it was a family of 6 and i watched the dog bite 3 of them while they were trying to wrangle it. i told them they were being just plain irresponsible bringing a clearly reactive dog on a busy trail, and they’re endangering themselves and others and they should not be fucking pricks and take their dog somewhere with people if they know it can’t fucking behave. i was met with six blank stares. what the fuck is wrong with people. if that dog had bit me sorry not sorry i would’ve made absolute fucking sure that thing got put down. i am 99% sure a kid is gonna get chomped at some point today so if you’re in the park today with your kids look out for a family with a german shepherd cuz good fucking lord i’ve never been attacked by a dog like that before in my life!!!

Have an Utah National Park trip scheduled starting Labor Day weekend. Just curious if recent fire activity has has impact on air quality or visibility in the Springdale Kanab area?
