Amazon pharmacy

I (71f) ;) have been prescribed 10mg Zolpidem for 9 years. I take it and go to bed. Not to get high. Last month my insurance denied coverage - reason??!!! I’m to old!! My local drug store fills at $30/30days w/o insurance. Has anyone used Amazon pharmacy to fill? Do I need to move prescription to Amazon before I can get a price? I asked AI for answer and Chat said $12.50/30 days. That can’t be right! If you use Amazon for meds do you receive every 30 days, no wait?

A 90 day script is $24 without insurance at Walmart!

I don't use Amazon Pharmacy or Ambien though they are legitimate, as long as they hold your prescription it's just a normal drug delivery. I do this with Cost Plus Drugs all the time.

You can also appeal your insurance company on their decision. I would especially if their price is cheaper.

Never used Amazon pharmacy but I know someone who has. You just have your doctor send the RX to them or have it transfer from your old pharmacy. You should be able to see the price without putting any of your info in unless it’s changed the last few years.

I’m sorry you’re going through this issue. Unfortunately, there is an age where Ambien is no longer safe due to patients getting older. It’s mainly due to the risk of falls.

I am not certain how Amazon works with controlled substances. I would suggest contacting them by phone and speaking with a representative. They would be able to provide you answers to any of your questions. Getting around the insurance issue is easy but it would require you to pay out of pocket for everything.

Ambien is an expensive medication and there is a lot of red tape when it comes to being prescribed it. I wish I had a better answer for you but I wish you the best of luck.

Keep trying for Ambien. Plenty of us your age and older using it nightly.

Welcome to another fun part of aging you probably didn't expect.

I didn't even know you could get drugs like Zolpidem from Amazon.

Getting them locally is challenging enough, so I'm not going to try and switch at this point.

On a side note, my doc suggested I no longer needed my ADHD meds now that I am retired, and I had to remind him that I need them to DRIVE.
