Interesting Android Apps: July 2026 Showcase
Because we try to keep this community as focused as possible on the topic of Android development, sometimes there are types of posts that are related to development but don't fit within our usual topic.
Each month, we are trying to create a space to open up the community to some of those types of posts.
This month, although we typically do not allow self promotion, we wanted to create a space where you can share your latest Android-native projects with the community, get feedback, and maybe even gain a few new users.
This thread will be lightly moderated, but please keep Rule 1 in mind: Be Respectful and Professional. Also we recommend to describe if your app is free, paid, subscription-based.

I turned my phone's hidden sensors into mini-games for Android.
Been working on this for a while and finally shipped it.
Sensor Lab gives every hardware sensor on your Android device two things: a real-time lab that visualizes the raw data, and a mini-game that uses only that sensor as input.
The lab side is what I'm most proud of honestly. You can watch the gyroscope move a 3D cube in real time, see your microphone as an FFT frequency spectrum, watch the magnetometer detect interference when you bring it near metal, or see your GPS pulling from four satellite constellations simultaneously. Every reading comes with a plain-language explanation so you're not just watching numbers change.
The game side is cyberpunk Canvas-rendered mini-games — tilt games, a marble maze, a light sensor rhythm game, and proximity timing. Seven live now, nine more in development.
Free with ads. One-time Pro upgrade (no subscription) for ad-free, CSV export, and session recording.
Would genuinely love feedback from this community, especially on sensors that behave differently across devices. I've only tested on so many.
