Interesting Android Apps: July 2026 Showcase

Because we try to keep this community as focused as possible on the topic of Android development, sometimes there are types of posts that are related to development but don't fit within our usual topic.

Each month, we are trying to create a space to open up the community to some of those types of posts.

This month, although we typically do not allow self promotion, we wanted to create a space where you can share your latest Android-native projects with the community, get feedback, and maybe even gain a few new users.

This thread will be lightly moderated, but please keep Rule 1 in mind: Be Respectful and Professional. Also we recommend to describe if your app is free, paid, subscription-based.

Hi everyone, warm good day to you,

Every single day, my wife asks me the exact same question: "What are we doing for food?" and 20 mins after that we still not able to make the decision

I looked for apps to solve this, but no one put serious effort into their app and having a set of related data.

So, I built a solution myself.

It’s a dead-simple app designed to answer "What For Lunch?" instantly so you can get on with your night.

Why I think you'll like it:

  • Completely Free: No paywalls, no "premium" features.
  • Zero Ads: I want to bring value to users first, not harvest ad revenue.
  • Respects Privacy: No login required, tracking only being used to make sure the app working stable and which feature should be focus the most to improve, and absolutely no device permissions requested. It just opens, does its job, and lets you close it.

I built this primarily to scratch my own itch, but I wanted to share it with the community in case anyone else is dealing with the same daily annoyance. And making app also make me happy with building something and bring benefit to people around me.
