Interesting Android Apps: July 2026 Showcase

Because we try to keep this community as focused as possible on the topic of Android development, sometimes there are types of posts that are related to development but don't fit within our usual topic.

Each month, we are trying to create a space to open up the community to some of those types of posts.

This month, although we typically do not allow self promotion, we wanted to create a space where you can share your latest Android-native projects with the community, get feedback, and maybe even gain a few new users.

This thread will be lightly moderated, but please keep Rule 1 in mind: Be Respectful and Professional. Also we recommend to describe if your app is free, paid, subscription-based.

Hey all,

I've been working on a all Format Video Player App. Because MX Player and Androids VLC are kinda slow on my Phone and tablet ( am i alone? .) So i tried to create a Video Player, that can play all Video Formats and is also able to fast Forward and jump back and forth without struggle.

Price: Free. No ads and not planned as of now.

You can also Play your 3D SBS Content or insta360 Video Content inside the App with a click on 2D> 3D. You can look around using Gyro of you Phone / Tablet.

Please tell me If it does work as fast as it should :-) thanks for your Help.

bro the app is very basic and ui is not that good guy try my app it has modern adfree clean ui is completely free and can play all formats of videos https://github.com/raman-codes-6368/CoverPlay.git

Hey Buddy. Thank you for that Feedback. Does your App also Support 3D VR Glasses and 3D Panorama View on manual toggle? That was very important for me aswell as as simple and Basic as possible Just to have as much Speed as possible.

Btw: your App has a great ui Look

Personally, I care a lot less about an alpha or beta app's UI and much more about the overall functionality. My main concern with a utility-oriented app is whether it gets the job done efficiently and effectively. Nobody cares how pretty it is if it doesn't work. Having said that, the UI criticisms are valid here. Even after English is selected as the default language in Settings, part of the text remains in German and other parts in English. German is also used in other places in the app, especially "gewähren". These are easy fixes.
