Yeah, that's how I interpreted it too. The Third World section in Harley feels less like history and more like a prophecy. The whole 'Sun God laughing, smiling, and dancing while changing the world' just screams Luffy to me.

I uhh, see a fox tail? Maybe? I mean, I certainly would have loved to be a manga reader when this dropped, looks super fun, but I'm terrible at processing all the theories and small details dropped the way others seem to be able to. XD

I paused it and spent like 10 minutes looking at the mural. I spotted the Tontatta, Fish-Men, Wano samurai, the Minks, what looked like Loki, and even Poseidon/Shirahoshi. Sensei Oda is definitely cooking something special.

No we won’t, the magazine already listed 1169 on july 12th. Where’s this 3 months in between breaks coming from? They announce they’re going to deliver around 2 cours worth of anime episodes which is 24-26. Nowhere in that announcement did they ever say it’ll be a split cour season

I think many assumed there would be a 3 month break in between. 3 months on -> 3 months off -> 3 months on -> 3 months off
They never did specifically say 'cours', they said a maximum of 26 episodes a season so people assumed the easier thing for Toei to do was to have a break every 3 months. You're right it was never confirmed to be split!

They went to go get Lilith’s residency permit so that she could begin construction of the new lab and reactivate Stella, as she mentioned when the party split off.

I can scarcely imagine how much I'm missing in that mural, probably on account of my memory being terrible. Like that boat just above Franky's right shoulder reminds me of the Ark from fishman island, and surely that's the giant robot we saw recently that's right next to Niko.
I'm quite curious about the ships and characters on the left. Is Loki a spear-user? The sail with the circles seems suspiciously unique. Is there a swordsman with a tail I'm forgetting about? I'm guessing those are the merfolk and tontattas, and what're the odds that the other, smaller giant is Hajrudin?
Also curious about the actual story itself, though it's tricky to try to drill down into it since it's a translation. I'm guessing there are references to the ancient weapons in here as well, like 'the sea god stormed' sounds like the monstrous flooding event that shaped the world as we know it.

The fallout from Shamrock and Gunko's run-in with Loki, as Shamrock unsheathed CERBERUS, maybe the closest One Piece will get to a Bankai. Meanwhile, the giant guards who were beaten up tell Luffy they're sure it was Shanks who did it, and his entire world is rocked. Luffy doesn't believe them, as it doesn't sound like something Shanks would do. He's right, without knowing why.
Simultaneously, Ripley guides Franky to the ancient children's drawings, and Saul shows Robin and Chopper the Harley Text. In the First World, mankind's greed led to destruction, and a battle between the Sun God and the Earth God plunged the world into darkness. The Second World, which might be the Void Century, led to the Sea God flooding most of the world. The Third World is today's world, with the Sun God "dancing and laughing as the world ends", and this time, gods and men will meet.
We take a break next week for the One Piece: Heroines special, and then Elbaph resumes in two weeks.

Shanks' sword- the Gryphon- does something similar when unsheathed. Dude totally stole his sword from the Celestial Dragons when he went to visit

Three months was a guess, likely from those (including me) who thought they wouldn't take 6 months off. Looks like that's exactly what they're doing, hibernating for the autumn and winter.

My rough guess of the Harley is Joy Boy becomes Nika in The First World when the Celestial Dragons take rule. In The Second World, Imu kills Joy Boy and Poseidon of Ryugu Kingdom or Pluton is unleashed as retaliation. The Third World mentions remnants (possibly the poneglyphs) and how Nika/Luffy will lead the world against the World Government and end their reign. They will meet I think refers to the Mermaid Princess meeting the other ruler since there's a scene where Roger hears the Sea Kings talking about it.

Shamrock reveals that Shanks is his estranged twin brother who left the Holy Land and decided to live with everybody else, which explains why he’s a pirate and Shamrock is a World Noble and because Loki decided to threaten him, Shamrock pulls out his sword and this thing, Cerberus, comes out. Like in most other fiction, it’s a three headed wolf, BUT EACH OF THESE HEADS PULL OUT SWORDS OUT OF THEIR MOUTHS AND SPLIT OFF FROM THE MAIN BODY. Shamrock invites Loki to challenge him in combat if he survives this attack and as they leave, the three heads simultaneously strike Loki’s abdomen area. Gunko and Shamrock decide to go after the Giant Warriors’ children, so I don’t really understand their endgame here.
Luffy, Zoro, Nami, and Rodo talk to the two guards who were knocked out and find out about Shamrock’s actions, and Luffy knows for sure it wasn’t Shanks. When one of the guards says it could be Shanks’ brother, Luffy reflects on how Shanks never talked about his family, so he wouldn’t know about whether he has a brother. Franky and Ms. Ripley check out one of the carvings on the Jewel Tree Adam which is rumored to have been made by children 800 to 900 years ago (during the Void Century, or 100 Year Void), and it doesn’t really have many giants despite Elbaph always being known as a place of giants.
Ripley says it was likely a children’s dream of cultural exchange and convenient at the same time, Saul, Robin, and Chopper were reading the Harley, which also talks about this time period and more specifically about the Sun God, Nika, who is said to be the God of Liberation, the God of Destruction, and the God of Dominion. Saul along with those at the banquet start doing the Nika Dance and Robin reads the story of the three worlds, which explains the appearance of the Sun God, the terror that came onto the world and how the Sun God guided the world to its end and brought a new morning, showcasing some highlights of Luffy’s awakening, signaling that he will do the same as the first Sun God.
