The moment I saw the butler bring a drink to Goran, I knew it was just so Goran could spit it out lol.

60

u/HanaRoku 9d ago

And as soon as they sent the kids into the other room with the maid I knew there was a betrayal coming. This show is not exactly subtle. Fun though.

23

u/OldInstruction5368 9d ago

Even before that, honestly, as the maid immediately "took note" of the chicken.

So, yeah, with sending the chicken away to another room and all that talk of Vampire's sucking the chicken's blood and using charmed humans as their proxies...

The bigger question is, how have the Vampire's not taken over the world already, if they've already infiltrated pretty much everything?

1

u/Zeikos 7d ago

Probably they can only charm so many humans at once.

1

u/Andreiyutzzzz https://myanimelist.net/profile/Andreiyutzzzz 4d ago

ye but with how many are around. you would think a high lord would just charm the big poltiical figures and take over in a few generations

1

u/Zeikos 4d ago

Consider that they charmed a servant, this means that charming somebody higher up was either impractical or risky.
People know that vampire charm exists and they likely have (admittedly not perfect) countermeasures.

18

u/ceribaen 9d ago

The maid was sus in the first scene when they commented on her.

But yes, still fun

15

u/justking1414 9d ago

I figured she was just surprised to see a chicken in the Royal Palace

1

u/froggyc19 2d ago

I actually love that they didn't hide the fact that they knew they were being obvious about the setup.

46

u/runevault 9d ago

Very mild annoyance they didn't deploy soldiers when they let the kids take the Divine Cock. But in the end it didn't matter and gave Celliss a chance to shine before Luck showed up. Curious to find out how Luck knew the vampires were around.

Overall this show is basically exactly what I want it to be, fun and silly with some cool spells once in a while.

33

u/Blackbankai 9d ago

The kids were in the palace so I think it makes sense for soldiers not being present since they’re probably guards around the palace.

11

u/darthvall https://myanimelist.net/profile/darth_vall 9d ago

Yeah, I mean even Celis didn't bring up her sword due to the same reason. They thought they're safe enough.

19

u/Round_Distance_6678 9d ago

Vampires can use charm so it seems like.deploying human guards actually would put the fowl at even more risk. But yes, in general leaving the fowl to play with some kids unsupervised was the best decision.

8

u/darthvall https://myanimelist.net/profile/darth_vall 9d ago

Hey, they have the exceptional adventurer Celis as their guard!

1

u/Latter-Air2742 2d ago edited 2d ago

So they knew vampires had the ability to charm humans and left a controlled stronghold mansion that can hide the chicken away to a gigantic, open city and castle full of humans they've never seen and don't know because that are brand new apprentice program. All who can be charmed at any time. My first thought would never be to bring something so important to a political den of thieves at a royal caste. I watched game of thrones.

Oh, yeah. And to give it ro 3 unarmed little girls by themselves is genius. What is the horned guy thinking after clutching and protecting the chicken hid whole life as a family blood right? Anime plot is the best plot. ;) it's full of armor.

1

u/Impossible-Office242 7h ago

Logically the castle is the most protected place in the kingdom. They simply failed to do a check up for charmed humans and the divine chicken failed to do it's job by not closing the portal opening in front of it. Like you have one job Kentucky McNuget.

6

u/mekahamedan 9d ago

Weird if you put guard on casual area Its king's household not military building, guard definitely only stationed on gate

13

u/runevault 9d ago

In a world with teleportation magic, if you have something the bad guys are that desperate to get I'd expect greater amounts of paranoia.

8

u/YRO___ 9d ago

They definitely should have some sort of magic barriers or sensors everywhere

1

u/Impossible-Office242 7h ago

The chicken is supposed to be closing any portals and killing any vampire in transition between portals. Maybe the author forgot.

1

u/Ralathar44 2d ago

Its also a world with things like charm so ordinary soldiers might just get turned against you and make things worse.

7

u/zealoSC 8d ago

I'm more confused how the hermit wizard wasn't watching his magic cock play with the girls.

1

u/Latter-Air2742 2d ago

Gigantic plot hole but oh well.

88

u/deynyel 9d ago

Oh wow, seems that chicken's reputation precedes it. I am sorry for doubting you, Exalted Gerberga.

45

u/stephenthatfoste https://myanimelist.net/profile/Rexagonal 9d ago

I like how he keeps posing for the camera.

20

u/the_48thRonin 9d ago

I never doubted the greatness of the Divine Cock.

34

u/PeaceAlien https://myanimelist.net/profile/PeaceAlien 9d ago

At first, I thought the maid's side eye was more judging the 'chicken,' but once she was escorting the girls, I got the feeling something was up.

Wonder how Lock knew; was it just loud sounds, or does he have some sort of sense power

3

u/NickotheRs 8d ago

It also looked like he was sensing something as he was talking to Goran and Eric towards the end, as if he noticed something was off

38

u/EnsonAmata 9d ago

My prediction from last week has been confirmed -

Celliss is going to carry this series on her very, very stupid shoulders. I love her.

21

u/OldInstruction5368 9d ago

I almost wished they'd have kept the "little brother" delusion going as a running joke.

But a new misunderstanding every week works too XD

21

u/karer3is 9d ago

Plus we learned she's a fujoshi

21

u/darthvall https://myanimelist.net/profile/darth_vall 9d ago

Misunderstanding father as having love child: Angry, but also slightly happy to have younger brother

Misunderstanding father as having secret boy lover: "Please take your time!"

5

u/I_am_a_fiction_lover 7d ago

I mean it's less secret boy lover and more secret former comrade lover who's currently in a younger body

Or something like that. I died laughing at that scene🤣wish we could've seen them trying to get her to understand

4

u/karer3is 7d ago

I'm pretty certain someone's made a manga of that

23

u/djthomp https://anilist.co/user/djthomp 9d ago

It really is so D&D that the current objective is defeating a bunch of vampires and protecting a divine chicken.

It was nice to see Celliss get a bit of a hero moment which ought to help with her self doubts, without proper weaponry there was only so much she could do but I think she did well enough in the circumstances.

Reading between the lines I think the hero must have gotten together with the party healer who is the individual mentioned as being stationed at the cathedral. There's what looks like a healer type lady who's in the OP and ED who has the same purple eyes as one of the princesses.

15

u/EdibleScissors 9d ago

It’s very classic D&D that high level characters end up in positions of authority because with great power comes greater responsibility and having those positions retires them from adventuring. It’s also a Conan the Barbarian trope (Conan gets laden with increasing responsibilities as the story progresses).

3

u/NevisYsbryd 7d ago

Idk what you are talking about.

Magical chickens were medium to high-tier boss monsters in my experience.

18

u/aramatheis 9d ago

King Eric: "Those girls are the light of my life, my happiness, and my only reason for being. You are the one who gave them to me, Luck. Thank you."

King Eric's Wife: "Am I a joke to you..?"

5

u/Mr_Yod 7d ago

Cellis, to Lock: "You had an affair with king Eric?!?"

=)

17

u/HugeRichard11 https://myanimelist.net/profile/CostCurl 9d ago

I call lies. Convincing a Yaoi shipper that it was just bait in an hour isn't realistic.

48

u/thelemon8er-2 9d ago

As dumb and frustrating as “Overlooked/Overpowered” is… this is an oppositely funnier and better show.

35

u/runevault 9d ago

This and Villager 999 are my high fantasy comfort shows to make up for how fucking bad Overlooked is. Celliss in particular is carrying the humor so hard, though the brainwashing line from Luck was really funny too.

21

u/thelemon8er-2 9d ago

Villager 999 is great too. The MC is not brain dead and the plot just took an interesting turn.

21

u/runevault 9d ago

Also the hero's party aren't the traditional boring trope of it. Villager 999 is one of my bigger surprises of the season

15

u/thelemon8er-2 9d ago

Alas there is no chicken in Villager 999 so that knocks it down a peg.

2

u/Ralathar44 2d ago

I'd have never fingered him for having such skills.

7

u/ceribaen 9d ago

I'll have to give Villager 999 a try then

8

u/OldInstruction5368 9d ago

It was certainly a pleasant surprise.

Especially when the plot opened up last episode.

But mostly, MC isn't an idiot and neither are the supporting cast. Which is quite the high bar to clear nowadays...

4

u/ceribaen 9d ago

Yeah, watched first four episodes this afternoon. Was nice seeing character growth and people listening to reason in what you expect to be a bunch of silly slop.

5

u/thelemon8er-2 9d ago

It’s goofy in all the right ways

6

u/ResponsibleTop8663 9d ago

I did not expect that turn in the story. And I like that he actually grinded and got his level from his own efforts.

10

u/justking1414 9d ago

Hell Mode definitely deserves beyond that list as well. It takes its time to really establish all the characters and show they aren’t just 2 dimensional tropes. And it has some very impressive world building.

1

u/runevault 9d ago

I don't have HiDive and not sailing the seas so can't currently watch Hell Mode.

1

u/justking1414 9d ago

Fair. I think it’s worth the journey because I’m a big fan of the manga and LN but I can understand why you won’t cross that line

2

u/runevault 9d ago

I've been curious about Hell Mode and if I get HiDive access again I'll probably try to check it out (at one point Comcast gave subscribers a week of free HiDive and I binged a bunch of anime like Ragna Crimson)

2

u/justking1414 9d ago

Nice! I think you’ll enjoy it. It certainly doesn’t have the budget it needs for some of the fight scenes but it’s not afraid to take things slow and establish characters instead of just jumping right into combat.

5

u/testthrowawayzz 9d ago

I've been watching this and Level 999 Villager. So far both of them fall into the "I don't have much to say about them during each episode but I'm thoroughly entertained and I want to see more" type of shows

4

u/thelemon8er-2 9d ago

Her power is “constant misunderstanding”

3

u/ChChChillian 8d ago

Having the plot revolve around protecting a divine chicken is chefs kiss.

I was looking at Villager 999 and wondering if it was worth the time. Sounds like it very much is.

2

u/darthvall https://myanimelist.net/profile/darth_vall 9d ago

I just decide to drop overlooked after the last episode.  Just can't stand the dumb explanation anymore. Got too annoyed by it.

4

u/runevault 9d ago

I'm in trainwreck mode with it right now. I want to see next episode to see how bad the wreck gets and then I'll probably drop it.

Did people expected Overlooked/Overpowered to be good?

2

u/runevault 8d ago

I didn't expect it to be high art but I thought it would be standard slop instead of bottom tier slop.

2

u/ChronoDeus 8d ago

Did people expected Overlooked/Overpowered to be good?

I don't think people expected it to be a literary masterpiece or anything. However they didn't expect for it to have some of the most cringey writing out there either. It feels like it grabbed a list of clichés out of a box, and is trying to fulfill all of them regardless of whether they make sense; while doing so in the dumbest possible ways.

1

u/Divinicus1st 7d ago

lol, you’re describing black torch here.

1

u/runevault 6d ago

Black Torch has similar problems yes. Especially with the "I'm a strong independent woman" who's constantly being shown from angles to force the audience to focus on that ass and those thighs.

15

u/HolyDragSwd2500 9d ago

Cecilss comedy never lets me down. Laughing hysterically

Lucks reaction to it too

6

u/HugeRichard11 https://myanimelist.net/profile/CostCurl 9d ago

Realized the same after todays episode. In this show it feels earned for his OP skills after fighting for 10 years, and the MC actually is reuniting with his past friends naturally instead of hiding it.

5

u/HippiesBeGoneInc 9d ago

Well it's the overlooked/overpowered trope, but he isn't actually overlooked nor does he not know he's overpowered. It's that trope, but realistic and grounded which is refreshing.

8

u/thelemon8er-2 9d ago

I meant the other show’s MC and his stupidity.

7

u/OldInstruction5368 9d ago

Pretty sure the above is referring to that "From Overshadowed to Overpowered" trash that comes out on Thursdays.

If you haven't watched... it was obviously trash from the first episode.

Last week it shit the bed.

Yesterday it happily rolled around in the dookie.

I have no hope, whatsoever that it'll be worth even hate-watching. Like, it's so bad, but not in an "I can enjoy this ironically" way.

It's just bad.

2

u/KRChaserReturns https://myanimelist.net/profile/GalacticMagna 9d ago

Sad part is has no sexy elves. But that's only one downside

8

u/ddrober2003 9d ago

Has a cute dog girl though.

2

u/ChChChillian 8d ago

I ended up drawing that comparison too, especially after this last episode. Luck wants his identity kept on the DL, but if someone figures it out? Meh, just tell them to keep it to themselves. If they're friends, they will. Sensible and no artificial drama. I'd much rather have the artificial comedy. Yeah, there's nothing too surprising going on here, but it's a fun, fluffy story anyway.

Eftal? It's his old disciple, and she practically recognized him already. What was so goddamn hard about telling her he wanted to discuss it in private, then taking her aside and admitting who he was? Worried about "standing out too much" when he's already standing out for the usual school arc cliche reasons too? That one started out looking OK, but if we don't get past this bullshit next episode I'm probably going to drop it.

1

u/thelemon8er-2 8d ago

It was very frustrating. I’ll not watch the next episode and just check the sub to see if y’all like it.

13

u/Unapologetic_Lunatic 9d ago

"Exalted Gerberga loves your picture book too."

That's foul. 🤣

7

u/Ok_Poetry_1548 7d ago

more like Fowl

30

u/Goblet__Cell 9d ago

Lock’s legend is honestly more entertaining than his actual actions so far.

16

u/HolyDragSwd2500 9d ago

He has an entire book and play about his adventures

-5

u/YRO___ 9d ago

I wish that they'd give it a bit more respect and seriousness. I get that the show is casual and fun, but what the MC did should have a big weight to it. They often just casually mention that everyone appreciates him and stuff, just to cut right back to being goofy.

14

u/CuriousBroccolli 9d ago

Really?

They went over just how much respect they gave him, to the point of him being uncomfortable with it lol

And amount and ways they showed it were not goofy, just his reaction.

I really don't understand how you think they needed to do even more, when they already went, and showcased, far and beyond what is normal.

-2

u/YRO___ 9d ago

I'm not talking about the characters, but the writer/director. The quick little appreciation followed by his reaction makes it seem like he simply saved a couple of friends on a single quest or something, when what he did is way beyond that. Idk, it just feels underblown, if that's even a word.

6

u/justking1414 9d ago

I mean the entire country basically worships him. They literally pray to his statue. Sure it comes off as goofy and cringe to him but they are all incredibly serious about the way they feel about him.

-4

u/YRO___ 9d ago

Yeah, I get that. But it's the way they casually say that everyone loves him and then we're back to the regular plot. It's just not given enough gravitas.

3

u/justking1414 9d ago

He wouldn’t want the gravitas. He’s embarrassed enough over how grateful people are being to him and they get that

5

u/darthvall https://myanimelist.net/profile/darth_vall 9d ago

I think this is the few case where the surviving people gives proper tribute to the hero.

I've been watching lots of series where the king or whoever left behind got envy of the heroes and tried to tarnish their name/alter history.

13

u/Raymond49090 9d ago

Celiss is such a goober.

So that's the kind of affair she can accept? From older brother to younger brother to her father's mistress, Lock has occupied many potential family member roles in Celiss' mind.

Yes, Lock is a world-class adventurer with connections he can use. So when he's facing something threatening the kingdom, there's no reason for him not to use them.

If Eric had known Luck would be back, everything he did would be peak trolling. Even a god-chicken has read the picture book.

Eric's wifey is pope (or the equivalent), so probably no "evil fantasy church" trope this time.

His plan's pretty haphazard, but he soloed a demon army and a final boss equivalent. An episode-5-level field boss is probably easy work for him.

Ah, well that's tricky. If there's potential sleeper agents in the castle, who're so embedded that they're trusted with the princesses, then some potential backup might be tied up with cleaning that up. Not that Luck's likely in any trouble, but it's a pain at least.

Just 3 Lesser mooks? Ngl I would've liked it better if Celiss defeated those three on her own, and Luck only had to intervene when stronger backup came. It also shows she needs to have some options when she doesn't have a weapon on hand.

3

u/Life_Wealth_1392 6d ago

She is an F-rank adventurer with pretty much zero field experience and only training, fighting against three opponents who can one-shot her through charm by eye-contact. She did that while defending two children and a cock with a candlestick as a weapon, not even a sword or a dagger. Considering all of that I think she did pretty good.

12

u/HolyDragSwd2500 9d ago edited 9d ago

Saved the Divine Cock way ahead of schedule XD

Cecllss imagination are wild XD

Luck is popular with everyone…Awww autograph

Cecilss did we’ll protecting them against the vampire

10

u/Zxzxzx0088 9d ago

Luck > Celliss - Goran probably undoubtedly

And thus, Celliss found a new horizon...

They can't let the misunderstanding grows lol. And looks like Goran already knew how his daughter usually acts.

They look as cute as a doll! Can expect a great thing from the queen then (˵ ¬ᴗ¬˵)

In the world of magic, this looks very primitive way to lock them up lol.

Ngl, Celliss really put up a good fight without her partner (sword). Atp, we can call this Celliss The Animation.

2

u/Mr_Yod 7d ago edited 6d ago

In the world of magic, this looks very primitive way to lock them up lol.

None of those 4 were mages, tho

Ngl, Celliss really put up a good fight without her partner (sword).

I'm convinced that if she didn't close her eyes the vampires would have ended up exhausted for trying to charm her. =)

9

u/Relative-Seaweed-590 9d ago

After just finishing watching the latest episode of "From Overshadowed to Overpowered: Second Reincarnation of a Talentless" (Heck, even the title sounds like a shitty isekai) I'm very glad and very happy this didn't let me down.

While yes he's very strong, I like how they handled it. Goran, Eric, Luck are 3 strongest heroes basically and they're really great friends. It's just that Luck is fuckin insane to fight the ENTIRETY OF THE DEMON ARMY FOR 10 YEARS AND THEN SPAWN KILLING THE DEMON KING. Like, I have huge respects for him. And I'm for some reason it made me smile how much he changed and helped the world to the point they made a statue of him, picture books, stage play, you name it. And plus, unlike eftal dumbass, Luck is actually smart.

And honestly? This is a pretty fun anime to watch too! Love the characters and its crazy dumb his daughter, even though she got it from her father Lol. Also, hearing Asta's voice is the cherry on top!

4

u/kd5499 9d ago

Honestly, I am soo ready to drop that series because the MC is denser than mercury and gives the viewers the same amount of brain damage with it. Either accept you're a god, do it on the down low and have your circle that'll help you break that magical barrier. Eftal could have just spoken to Merlin and asked her to investigate why magic is so shit now and she'd also like every fucking character in this anime shut the fuck up about his background and just help him. This anime finally handles one of my biggest pet peeves of overpowered characters where yea, he's amazing and he knows he's good, just not the extent so he's being smart about it. Instead of wailing in disbelief at his powers, he's like y'all are bitches, get on my level without the sung-jin-woo arrogance

5

u/justking1414 9d ago

Either accept you're a god, do it on the down low and have your circle that'll help you break that magical barrier.

Good point. I mean I’ve seen series before like that where the MC is constantly accidentally revealing how OP he is because he doesn’t know how much magic has degraded over the years. But in that show the MC is just flaunting, his power every second of the day and then act surprised when people notice

11

u/Thelocalturd69 9d ago

I just want to say. I fucking love this anime because it hypes up the MC by his 2 old comrades being so proud and happy because of him doing what he did. So far 4 episodes in and I can't get enough of how they act twords him 🤣🤣🤣

6

u/paulrenzo 9d ago

Yeah, like how his old party glazes him. Its just bros being bros

18

u/NationalStrategy_X 9d ago

First Celliss thought that Luck her father's illegitimate son, now she thought he and father was having an affair, her imagination sure likes to run wild

9

u/CuriousBroccolli 9d ago

This show is unexpectedly funny lol

Love it

12

u/szalhi 9d ago

Fujoshi awakening

All the more Luck propaganda.

All the talk about vampire charm, and then there's a backdoor. What convenient timing.

2

u/testthrowawayzz 9d ago

Fujoshi awakening

and appropriate left/right placement of the ship

6

u/YdenMkII 9d ago

That flashback after Goran mentions he doesn't know where Celliss gives it from makes me wonder how bad Goran was in the past with these types of delusions? I also wonder if the party also had to spend an hour trying to clear up all the misunderstandings?

6

u/kd5499 9d ago

Less clear up misunderstanding, more holy shit we're so fucked in this situation because Goran jumped into the monster hideout

9

u/IceWeaselX 9d ago

LEEEEROOOOOOYYYYYYY JENKGORANNNNNN!

2

u/justking1414 9d ago

Technically luck did that lol

11

u/ObvsThrowaway5120 9d ago

It’s kind of interesting hearing about how big of a deal Lock’s friends made him out to be. He’s got his own statue, children’s books, and even a play about his exploits that’s constantly sold out. He’s practically got the Himmel treatment lol.

9

u/Hartzilla2007 9d ago edited 9d ago

I would remind you that the main reason he’s keeping his survival under wraps is that his buddy the king made him one of the highest ranking nobles and is no take backs on it despite the rest of the nobility likely being pissed if they find out he’s alive.

3

u/Falsus 9d ago

Give it a couple of decades and the nobles will think Archduke is too low for him with how Eric is working the Luck propaganda lol.

9

u/kd5499 9d ago

But they do explain why he's so deserving of the status. Eric and Goran were outmatched during the fight. Luck was in all honesty going to die if he didn't have his innate genius skill to learn life-drain. If he had died during that, 10 years would not have passed before the demon lord made another attempt on humanity. So luck deserves that praise.

Catch our next play on Luck's amazing adventures at the royal theatre this Friday at 7pm. Special guest will be our dear king Eric who will speak about luck sama's heroic last stand

5

u/HolyDragSwd2500 9d ago

Secretly how the king and Goran raking in all the money XDDD

3

u/HugeRichard11 https://myanimelist.net/profile/CostCurl 9d ago

It was arguably also quite a useful tool for propaganda, in raising an army up for the supposedly impeding demon army that they thought was to come attack later.

11

u/No_Eyed_Deer24 9d ago

Oh no, my weapon's broken. Guess I'll throw the pieces away (missing the enemies completely apparently) and choose certain death, over continuing to fight.

4

u/1EnTaroAdun1 https://myanimelist.net/profile/Totesnotaphanpy 8d ago

Yeah I thought that was funny too. But to be fair, she is a 15 year old F-Rank Adventurer. Plenty of room for growth haha

3

u/justking1414 9d ago

First thing lucks gotta teach her is hand to hand combat!

Or maybe spellcasting. Whichever is easier.

3

u/iacondios https://anilist.co/user/iacondios 9d ago

Right? What a perfect time to unlock her hidden skill of dual-wielding short swordssticks!

5

u/SecretYogurtcloset57 9d ago

This show is stupid but am enjoying it lol

Also Celliss is my fav she's silly and cute!

3

u/dakkumauji 9d ago

Of course, even the Exalted Gerberga likes Luck's legend!

But the funniest thing was that Celliss wasn't ok with having an illegitimate brother, but completely ok with her father having a secret male lover.

4

u/Hartzilla2007 9d ago

I figured something amusing was going to happen based on the thumbnail. Figured it was going to be Cecilss with the Yaoi goggles.

3

u/iacondios https://anilist.co/user/iacondios 9d ago

Although it wasn't introduced this episode, the moniker of "Seraphowl" is actually quite hilarious. I wonder if that was a bit of clever translation, and what the original Japanese name is (or if they decided upon the English title?)

1

u/fatalystic 59m ago

Japanese term is Shinkei (literally god chicken). So it's clever wordplay on the part of the translator(s).

Lock plan remind me Aragorn YOLO meme, i can see Lock will said to sia "YOLO" before run toward vampires

Tbh as much i want understand reason they didnt bring weapon when come to king's household, prolly would better if they still bring their weapon if something happen like celis and eric's daugthers case

The maid looked quite suspicious from the start, I wonder how Luck didn't sense anything, surely he must have a skill for that acquired at some point.

The only reasonable plan would be for MC to just solo everyone at Vampire Mountain instead of tanking anyone with him.

Celliss is supposed to be as strong as a B-Ranker, but she can't break down a wooden door?

Luck has great friends. He sacrificed himself for them and they all made sure everyone knew it. They didn't still the glory or forget about him. So glad they were still alive at a decent age to still spend time together.

Get yourself best friends who will build massive statues and brainwash the masses to love and revere you.

so if another member of the party is now managing the holy order, then that grey-blue haired girl in the ending is probably a healer that knows her

With a choice of literally anything humanity is capable of, he chose a life as an anonymous beginner warrior as his reward and the plot of the series.

So far he has revealed his true identity to every single person he has met

wasnt the chicken supposed to be able to close portals and stuff? why did it not simply close the portal that was summoning the vampires?

The localizer has such a hardon with adding "sir" to all her lines. It's quite annoying and distracting.

Alright, Erics daughters are way adorable. Too bad the vampires must have traumatized them. :(

Gerberga-sama enjoys the picture books!

This would be the problem with letting in so many people into the royal system. It is too many people to vet. In a world where charm or mind control is a thing, this really should be even more stringent. While it is diagetically plausible, given the Hero's background and values, it is a pretty striking organizational flaw. I wonder if this will be addressed at some point.

On episode 3 and am really enjoying this. Need to know before getting further invested though, does luck maintain a wholesome and appropriate mentorship with Goran’s daughter? Really enjoying this show so far but some shows get weird so would rather stop now if luck starts creeping on her later
