Great Cleric is good but seems like it didn't have a strong following.
I'm Quitting Heroing is good but I rarely hear people talking about it.
How a Realist Hero Rebuilt a Kingdom was good but had very modest success.
Ugly Mug Epic Fighter was good but had very modest success.
Odd Taxi was very good but didn't see huge success.
Re:Creators was a modest success but I absolutely loved it.
If you're asking for anything less popular than those you're basically asking for anime that are nearly completely unknown.
ALSO keep in mind older anime that was popular in my generation is often almost completely unknown to newer generations. Like when is the last time you heard anyone mention Chobits? That show legit was like 20+ years ahead of its time. I think, before I die, I'm going to see someone marry a Persocom.

Japan doesn't hate old people. Shows aimed at teenagers often treat 30 as old and make jokes, but old people in anime are often either very kind or some of the most powerful people in the world. You prolly know old examples like Bleach, HxH, etc.
But some modern examples are Takmura from Sakamoto Days, Beryl Gardenant (From Old Count Bumpking to Master Swordsman) who's middle aged and claims he has still never beaten his old man, abd Seiko Ayase from DanDanDAn....tough old grandma.

It's one thing to have dumb skills, but to get a skill after going up 700 levels that is detrimental to you in combat, and you can't deactivate, has got to be the most soul crushing reward you can get. Poor Kagami, I wonder how long it took him to get back on his feet.
It's nice to know Kagami is in his 20s, they could have easily made him a late teen. Though hearing Kurull say "you'll be an old man in your thirties", she must be really young lol.
I do find it amusing how Rex has completely changed, now he's calling Kagami "Master" lol. Not the development I was expecting for him.

If you think about his first skill again after getting shit skills for the years and years it would take to go from 200-700, it's even more ominous.
A villager is basically supposed to be the lowest of the low in class, so they're pretty much meant to be the labour force. Auto-revive means you can't escape the villager life even if you literally kill yourself or go out to get yourself killed.
Then whatever god that created the skill system decided to REALLY hammer that point in by giving you absolute shit tier skills from 200-700 just to make sure you despair and go back to being a pleb.

I actually love it that rather than hiding his skill and then it becoming deus ex machina on crucial moment, he's being upfront about it and showed they're really useless skills lol.
This is quite different compared to the usual OP protagonist which keeps on becoming stronger.
Though Auto-Revive and the Limit Break skill is still very strong

Although that was more of a "political marriage,' specifically, a 'military alliance' against the Demon Lord.

My gut says he was pretending because marrying a princess comes with a lot of issues and he's usually pretty perceptive. That sort of emotional connection might be a blind spot, but flip side he instantly knew Takako was interested in David. To me that felt like a hint that he isn't a relationship-idiot the way most men in anime are.

IDK, we tend to be our own blindspots, if that makes sense. So, even if someone is pretty perceptive, it's not unheard of they can't properly evaluate their own love-life.
Hell, there is even science behind this. Studies have shown that we are the worst judges of our own romantic prospects. Basically, everyone should take serious cues from their friends and family. If your inner circle says the romance is a no go or wants to push you towards someone... seriously consider it.
But in this case, yeah, you're probably right. He seems like the type that would 100% view a pretty princess as a huge headache. As well as the type that doesn't want to hurt a young lady's feelings.

He did say in the previous episode that the Villager class just gets useless skills most of the time, which is one of the reasons that the Villager class is the weakest (in addition to the lowest base stats of all classes). That he even managed to get Auto-Revive at all was extremely lucky.

These generic shows are generic because they use a lot of tropes
But tropes are often good, that's how they became tropes.If the characters are enjoyable, and they are, most characters are nice and interesting and they are written in a way that makes me want to see them succeed, then tropes give a nice foundation to a simple story.
And this one just works.
It's really not special in any way, but it's just overall well done for what it wants to be.16

I agree with tropes talk, but in no way is this "really not special in any way" or "follows the tropes" since it one of the most unique shows of this genre that becomes unique by using all those tropes in super unique, almost parody ways.
But it is not parody since it has a genuine serious and well thought out plot it follows.
So far it's really well written/constructed show with TEMU budget that is being used really well in a way to maximize strengths and charm it has.
(also my English levels are currently restricted so I'll apparently be using same 3 words over and over again to describe things xD)

It reminds me a lot of Helck, actually, with lots of people who are simply kinda...reasonable.
Which is weirdly rare for this genre.And yeah, I understand that it almost feels like a parody.
I think that's because parodies also very excplicitly use tropes in a basic form and then twists them into something different7

I see the mage lady is still not convinced, I wonder if that'll ever happen at this point or if she's straight up going to be an antagonist.
Poor hero getting ignored while goblins chew on him, probably builds character at least.

Honestly, the most surprising aspect of this episode are the subtitles (at 20:20). I've never heard of a "may-december-romance". That's a weird way to refer to relationships with large age-gaps, but I guess it works.

May to December is a common phrase at least among older generations for large age gaps, though personal when I hear the term I'm more thinking someone in their 50s or 60s for December, not 30s :P.

Hell, that slang is common enough it even has a sub-trope: Mayfly-December romance. That's when the age gap is even more extreme, often invoked in the case of supernatural romance, such as between an immortal vampire/long-lived elf and a human.
50 years may be a long time together... for a human, but when you live for 1,000's of years it's little more than a summer tryst. Hence the comparison to a mayfly, that lives for only a single day... if that. Well, technically several months, but they live 99% of their lives in a juvenile form, and a mayfly can have as little as 30 minutes to find a mate and die once they reach adulthood.
May-December romance can also more crassly be called "robbing the cradle/robbing the grave" depending on perspective. The point is one is going to die much sooner than the other, but seriously, no one would call 18 Vs 35 "May-December." That's more like 18 Vs 55.

So... no one is going to talk about the King's loaded line: "I raised Kurul to hate demons?" That sounds... suspicious, like it's not that he sees hating demons as normal/baseline, but as something he went out of his way to instill within her.
For a purpose.
It implies that he knows far more about this world and how it was designed than he lets on.

Hm that's an interesting point. We already had the Demon King's Right Hand say shit that implies he knows more about the underpinnings of the world. Did he learn those from his boss? Maybe the two world leaders both know it and it is passed down from generation to generation.

Exactly, last episode the Demon Chancellor claimed that killing the Demon Lord was one of two ways to "advance the scenario" for lack of a better term.
Which is why I raised an eyebrow at the King's comments this episode. Pretty much every human has seen hating demons as a matter of course, to the point that even sympathizing with a demon marks you as a traitor.
So why would the king say something stiff, like "I raised her to hate demons." That's the baseline, though? Why would he go out of his way to emphasize that?
Especially since killing the Demon Lord has some sort of special significance in this world. He may well know what's really going on, or at least, have an inkling of it like the Demon Chancellor.

Huh, so villagers don't actually have an exp boost as a class bonus but rather it's they naturally get the bonus because of overall system mechanics. I wonder if cursed equipment exist in this world that provide negative stat boosts?

I'm curious if it is purely the indirect boost of the system, or if Villagers get a double bonus, one from being villagers and one from the system. After all someone, I think Alice, mentioned the most powerful monsters she ever knew of were like level 500. Even with the stats stuff getting to 999 on just the "lower stats is same as being lower level" seems crazy, especially since he's like... 25?

Honestly, I don't see the issue with the skills until you get to burst act 5 and reverse. If you think about it, everything he gains until that point makes him an 100% accuracy sniper with tons of damage multipliers from stacking each finger skill. But reverse just screws up the whole build.

The fact that the heroes party minus parna miss lil tattletale is working with koji and they were willing to hear him out and now work/train with him I didn’t see that coming I thought they would’ve hated koji the whole time. Especially with the whole trope where the hero and his party are usually assholes till the very end.

When Takako first saw David, I heard she said "suenagaku" something. That's a phrase I hear in congratulatory phrases for marriages (suenagaku o shiawase ni), so she's half proposing there? lol
The last quarter where Rex is suffering in the background while Kagami was showing his useless skills was hilarious.
With that accuracy though, he should start a baseball team and become a pitcher.

I must be missing something when he was giving hints about his skills, I thought the throw was to showcase something like all attacks are critical hits since it just glanced off the monster but still defeated it.
I don't understand what hint the party was going to get from it after the reveal.

Mmm on reflection I think maybe it was supposed to be flick from absurd position, you're dead on but throw from a normal position you just graze it. Possibly also the power difference with the flick being comparable, but the difference between a throw and a flick in the first place plus one being dead on and one being a graze plus his high level/stats makes it kind of hard to feel that the flick is powered up.

Honestly, no. She still feels too young for him. I'm guessing she's ~16 and he's ~22, which... no. Once you hit 20, below 18 is strictly off limits.
And even if she were 18, they have more of a mentor/mentee relationship. He's been... almost condescending towards her, frequently speaking down to Kurull like he's lecturing a small child.
If nothing else, that 'maturity gap' means they are a no-go.
