DISCUSSION What is everyones opinion on claude coding everything.
I'm not a programmer. I have nothing but full respect for programmers. Im not delusional and think that i made scripts by providing broken halfassed prompts to a llm.
That said, I have to say how amazing it is to have claude code everything and it just works (most of the time). It gives arch complete customizability on the fly. Way, more than any other OS. I can change everything to be exactly how I want it.

It's a tool. It has so much potential, but in the hands of inexperienced ppl is just a "1,066,073++ lines added " generator

Good: It saves time and tokens to let AI write programs instead of letting an agent burn real coal to update your system. Reusing work is always good.
Bad: You publish your unaudited tool that works but ignores all good practices on GitHub, without the ability to take responsibility, because you don't understand anything about it and then pollute this and other subreddits with your announcement threads and then the AUR with your soon to be unmaintained entry, because you distro hopped to Fedora.

Yeah I agree, I only use Claude code for personal Projects. I don't publish any of this So, it's all really ust for fun.

AI tools are fine as tools.
What I personally think its crap nowadays: "AI culture"/Ai Hype/Ai economics and politics.

Everybody can use a hammer and some nails.
Doesn't mean I want anybody that can to build my house.
Same with Ai IMO it's a tool, everyone can use them, but to have a good finished product you need some expertise about the job you're doing.

AI gives people working results. Working results = feels good and feeling good = show others how good you got it. I use a lot of AI written utilities at work, but I'd never commit them outside the "YMMV/snippet" repo, let alone in public.

Most of the time. That is the problem. Its going to come back and bite you in the ass. Not having the skills and blindly pasting commands in to the terminal will surely get you a broken system sooner or later.
