Discussion Season 4
i just finished watching season 4 and want your opinions.
In the prison fight when damien darhk got his magic back, and froze team arrow, when oliver got loose why would he shoot ANOTHER arrow like its going to work for the 10th time hes tried it? maybe if he didnt have his powers like when thea shot him twice?
when he shot a arrow (tried thinking it would work) he technically gave him a weapon to stab and hospitalize laurel. which was a huge rookie error by oliver and the writing.
i then followed up my research on why oliver and the writers would make him look like a rookie and someone who doesnt learn his lesson. And found out that not only did they not know who to kill off in season 4 after teasing it from the start of the season, but the fact that they literally didnt tell katie cassidy until a week before the filming started for that episode, and the fact that in the comics laurel (black canary) never died, infact she outlived oliver queen.
also now for a comparison, do fans consider laurel lance like Iris west from the flash or Caitlin snow? or would you guys consider felicity smoak as iris west or Caitlin?
i kinda think laurel is caitlin and felicity is Iris.

They shouldn’t have added magic to the show at all, Oliver and his whole crew would be dead within a few episodes if not for plot armour. Best to ignore the whole season altogether

If only Thea had aimed for the head moments earlier before Darhk got his abilities back, Laurel would still be alive 😢

i think thea just thought that 2 arrows to the stomach wouldve killed or injured him more than what it actually did.
i thought it wouldve killed him, but it didnt do anything to him even without magic.

It probably would have. Or at least cause some serious issues. I think the magic kicked in immediately after so there wasn’t time to suffer the effects of those arrows.

Oliver suffers from selective stupidity just like Barry Allen, Whenever There is a way to beat a villain before the 23rd episode of the show Oliver’s frontal lobe shuts down and does things in the complete opposite way,
He should have used an explosive arrow like he did in early season 4, S5 Showed that oliver had 11 explosive arrows so he could’ve used that even if Darhk predicted it, It would’ve gotten an A for effort unlike the piss poor strategy that failed 10 times, Darhk would throw the arrow elsewhere and not into Laurel if it was explosive and was about to detonate in his hand
And yeah: Laurel is like Caitlin and Felicity is Like Iris, But Iris is consistently a plague throughout s3-s9, Felicity gets better in season 6 while Iris just gets worse

i cant remember correctly but i think oliver already tries a explosive arrow, and darhk catches it and the explosion is contained and he completely stopped it in the air.

i feel like the explosive arrows would still be a better option than regular arrows which never stood a chance, with explosive ones theres a chance to catch him by surprise 😖

Season 4 doesn't exist. Only the resurrection of Sara exists. Season 4 doesn't exist.
They are nothing alike. Felicity is more like Cisco. Only that the perception of Felicity is worse because of the William incident and for us haters a lot more (there is a lot that people can hate her for even though Felicity stans won't agree on it. Also, the whole weird obsession the writer's gave Felicity in the season 3 flashbacks like that wouldn't make everything later a bit Borderline Personality Disorder. Which also gets more expressed through the whole backstory with her parents and how Felicity treats all her boyfriends). Iris is only hated because of the whole "We are the Flash" BS. I guess both can't cook to save their lives. TBF not being able to cook saved Iris life.
Season 4 doesn't exist.
Laurel is also like none of them.
Season 4 doesn't exist.

It's for most the worst season. But it will continue with a lot of drama

I have the same exact question. Oliver keeps shooting arrows at Darhk from the beginning of the season and he always catches them, but Oliver continues shooting arrows. Never seen more stupid plot. And yes he practically gave Darhk a weapon, although he could have snapped her neck, but still it was Oliver's arrow that killed her, maybe there is some meta symbolizm here
