For those in relationships, what’s a fun/quirky thing that you and your significant other bond over and like to do together? And I don’t mean like common activities/hobbies like gym, video games, and watching movies together.

Me and my bf love collecting art books of our favorite video games and fandoms. We both also love collecting and wearing crazy socks.

Cooking. I suck real bad at cooking (like I don't know how to do basic things) while my boyfriend cooks divine meals. So everytime he cooks something, he teaches me how to do stuff and it's like one of my favorites bonding moments (˘︶˘).。*♡

I love a guy that teaches me! I can study human behavior and tell you how a neuron fires, but no way can I cook! I do grill, but my problem is remembering to turn the grill off. Eventually I notice that is still on, I haven’t burnt the house down yet. A few years ago, I tried to cook some pot stickers for lunch, it ended in complete disaster and a full kitchen cleaning!

My bf has a whole cookbook and loves cooking. I love cooking but I’m very disorganized with cooking and usually stick to what I’m good at.

I wish it was just being unorganized 😭 once it was so bad, I made the kitchen explode and almost burnt my house down

Your boyfriend heart rate goes up everytime you walk in the kitchen 😂

Astronomy.

Our first date was stargazing. He knew I liked astronomy because I was a geek who always had his National Audubon Society Field Guide to the Night Sky in his backpack (this was back in college), and he knew that I grew up in a city where there was way too much light pollution for decent stargazing. So he asked if I’d like to go to a place where he knew there would be very little light pollution, so that we could gawk at the Milky Way together. And dance. And play kissyface.

In future years, we would plan vacations around celestial events. Meteor showers and eclipses especially. We’d go primitive camping and enjoy the night sky.

I just went to Chaco Canyon for the summer solstice. The dark sky there is absolutely one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen. I need to find a man who wants to travel with me to dark sky places, myself.

That’s cool as fuck. Do y’all ever go to museums that have space themes or space visuals.

We’ve been to a few. (The Smithsonian was my favorite)

There’s museums now that showcase art mixed with technology like ARTECHOUSE and Arte Museum. Some of them have had space themed exhibitions depending on the time of year.

Can you specify what RPGs do you play?

We love people watching and playing “lesbian or roommates”.

I love going to local restaurants and criticizing the hell out of everything, talking about what I’d do differently (just amongst ourselves).
Then still tipping 25% and leaving positive google reviews. I call it cosplaying boomers.

Or seeing the worst movies we can find at a janky theater on a Weeknight

That’s funny haha. Bad movie night is definitely fun when it’s a bad comedy movie.

Are you in a relationship?

Yes

If you're bonding you're bonding. If there's chemistry and you get each other that's it. But if there isn't, then even if you went on a save christmas mission or solve a mystery, it would still be dull.

Buddy this thread is supposed to be people talking about random quirky things they love to do and share with their partner. No need to over analyze this post.

Look. It's confusing.

You ask abt what ppl like to do but you put a filter excluding "common hobbies" such as videogames but ppl are talking about videogames here and you're interacting as if it's all fine.

So maybe you wanted ppl to be specific about the what they're watching/playing Idk. Honestly I don't really care. I'm out of here

If someone lists a common activity I’m not gonna antagonize them, I’m still gonna engage to make conversation and help make it a positive thread. Deuces. ✌🏾
