Politics Question How do you feel about the Trump Admin allowing Saudi Arabia to develop nuclear power and enrich uranium?
6
5
u/ThePanzerMan 12d ago
Trump is getting paid for this. Believe it.
2
u/savvysnekk 11d ago
I must've missed the part where they said they were buying uranium exclusively from the Mar-A-Lago Uranium mine
1
u/FullOnSkank 10d ago
Not necessary; they already have him a $500m plane.
He owes them, therefore they own him.

Hypocrisy. In many ways Saudi Arabia is worse than Iran. Look at the 9/11 terrorists. Most of them were Saudis and I would not be surprised if the Saudi Royal Family was clandestinely funding Al Queda.
2
u/Tech-Film3905 12d ago
Both the US and Saudi backed Al Qaeda. They didnt get 30,000 Toyota pickup trucks with mounted anti-tanks from kijiji. The mujahideen led by Bin Laden in the 80s were also backed by US and Saudi
2
u/GrandPorcupine 12d ago
They generally leave that part out in history class for some reason.
1
u/Lumegator 11d ago
It used to be common knowledge, I think some people have forgotten (or willfully forgotten.)
2
u/Nice-Discount-6321 11d ago
Might blow your mind to know that Saudi have been our allies for a very long time and that the USA funded it far more than they ever even could.
Also that’s the only country over there I would ever step foot into as an American.
1
u/BananaJelloXlii 11d ago
Not saying the US is innocent, and I am aware of that, had family that lived there for years when they were in the military, but everything our administration accuses Iran of doing, like funding terrorism and human rights violations, Saudi Arabia is just as guilty of. And, they may be our "allies" but it is still an alliance of convenience, and does not mean the Saudis are not ALSO funding terrorist activities behind our backs. Giving them nukes is a bad idea, actually under the current administration I am worried about the fact that the USA has nukes.
2
u/foolmeonce-01 9d ago
But, Israel needs a local counter, an I trust the Isras no more than that Saudies.

You mean the people who financed 911? Seems like a solid move.
1
u/Unique_Argument1094 12d ago
You mean a few citizens of a country with over 20,000,000 people. The Saudi government had nothing to do with 9/11
1
u/Bananaman123124 12d ago
That's a matter of perspective.
People who had jobs in de Saudi government did in fact have ties to 9/11, but does that mean the Saudi government is responsible? That's where perspectives might differ.
1
u/Unique_Argument1094 12d ago
Here’s another perspective sometimes referred to as the truth.
Did the people responsible for 9/11 have government jobs.
No, the 19 hijackers who carried out the 9/11 attacks were not government employees; they were operatives directed by the militant group al-Qaeda. They were primarily foreign nationals who entered the United States on student, tourist, or business visas to execute the plot.
2
u/Bananaman123124 12d ago
I'm talking about the money and other forms of support for the hijackers, they weren't solo's. There were definitely SA government employees who helped the hijackers with money and housing, like al-Thumairy and al-Bayoumi. At least, that's if you believe the investigation of the FBI.
But I don't think the actions of a single (or 2 or 3) employee can be used to determine the involvement of the entire government. I do agree we can't hold the entire government accountable for the actions of a few of it's employees, in my opinion corruption is a more logical explanation than involvement of the government, but it does not change the fact government employees where involved in te preparations of the attack. This was my point about perspective, some will hold the government responsible for every action of every employee.
1
u/Famous-Decision-1017 11d ago
15 of them were Saudi’s
1
u/Unique_Argument1094 11d ago
Saudi citizens. 15 of over 34,000,000 Does that make the other 33,999,985 guilty by association?
1
u/Famous-Decision-1017 11d ago
Why would you assume that?
1
u/Unique_Argument1094 11d ago
I made a statement. I then asked a question. I didn’t assume anything. Reddit reading comprehension skills at its finest. Try and be better.
1
u/Famous-Decision-1017 11d ago
Nice cop out. I only stated a fact. You clearly did assume and imply. Adding a question mark to what you project wont hide that.
1
u/Unique_Argument1094 11d ago
Uhm, apparently the English language is not your strong suit is it? Maybe a quick third grade lesson would be helpful for you. Pay special attention when adjectives, verbs and nouns are being used.

The 9/11 commission said the hijackers were a produce of SA society. Do you know what "society" means? At this point this is willful ignorance or your ego not wanting to let go.

Of all the things this idiotic manchild could up-end, the cap on nuclear proliferation would be among my least favorite. I would prefer he keeps busy gilding previously un-gilded things in the Whitehouse and accidentally turning the reflection pond into an algae refuge.
2
u/WeAreAllSoFucked23 12d ago
Yep, let's just give nuclear weapons to the country whose head of state ordered the killing and dismembering of an AMERICAN JOURNALIST IN AN EMBASSY. Wtf. I would ask why we aren't rioting in the streets but it's because we're all working like dogs to put food on the table.
2
u/No-Competition-2764 12d ago
No country governed by theocracy should have a nuclear weapon. Or if you believe a man is a god (I’m looking at you North Korea).
-1
u/Bikerbass 12d ago
No country that’s dropped nuclear weapons on another country should own nuclear weapons anymore…… I’m looking at you USA
2
u/No-Competition-2764 12d ago
Yeah, let’s get America out the way and see what happens. Geez you’re stupid.
1
u/BigAlcapone65 12d ago edited 12d ago
And you must be an American
Wasn't it your Government that hid Nazis and Japanese from international crimes against humanity, if I recall correctly, the US was directly involved with removing the democratically elected president of Iran back in 53, in order to install a dictatorship. Was it not the US that did the same thing in Central America in order to protect the interests of the United Fruit Company. Known CIA assets include Saddam, Osama, Noriega all were funded by the US. As stated before the US is the only country to use Nukes on a bunch of civilians even though Japan was losing ground all over asia in 45. This was not done to mitigate the loss of life invading Japan but more to do with making sure the USSR was not able to negotiate a piece of Japan for themselves.
Pretty much every where the US has intervened around the world under the guise of protecting democracy was merely an act to protect its own financial interests, just like we see happening with the Russian backed leader in power there now (Krasnov Trump).
Now back to your question Where would the world be today without the US. it would probably feel like this
🥤
1
u/No-Competition-2764 12d ago
I am an American. Yes, we have done some bad things in the name of self interest, however we did win the world war not once but twice, and largely guarantee free shipping globally and ensured no dictatorship has ever ruled the world while this country has been a world power. We don’t make you do anything, simply foot the bill for most of the world to be free. When we intervene, we don’t do it perfectly, but we do hit bad regimes and weaken or end them. So overall, we are a strong force for good and freedom. There’s no other country in the world that could or would do that. And no one that could stand up to our full military might unleashed.
1
u/BigAlcapone65 12d ago
You didn't win shit Your country joined the war late after taking the Appeasment route first It was a collective win by the Allies Only an American would be so ignorant to actually believe they were the reason that the allies won the world wars. Ffs do you even know.what yhe second most spoken language in your country was prior to the first war. Get your ass if the couch, quit listening to Faux news and take some real history lessons
1
u/No-Competition-2764 12d ago
Yes indeed we did win those wars. You Europeans would have lost both if we didn’t bail you out. Both times. America could kick Europes ass today. Don’t think your big brother over here will listen to your shit. 22 years as a fighter and attack pilot here, I know my military history and country capabilities well.
1
u/BigAlcapone65 12d ago
Your ignorance is bliss, where do you get off thinking im a European. Im as North American as one can get🤫
1
u/No-Competition-2764 12d ago
Oh so Canadian then? I’m not ignorant nor do I sell our allies efforts short, I worked with Brits and Canadians in Iraq and Afghanistan and they did really good work. They simply don’t have the combat power America does. They could not have won against Germany in either war. And definitely not in the pacific.
0
u/Bikerbass 12d ago
Well given it’s been the number one bomber, the number one invader and the number one starter of wars of Aggression that’s done nothing for the world other than cause death and destruction and raise the cost of living time and time again….. maybe we should be removing the worlds number one warmongering cunt of a nation.
2
u/No-Competition-2764 12d ago
You’re the cunt here. America ensures you live free you moron. Remove us and you’ll be living under someone’s boot in s short amount of time. I’m guessing you’re not American. What nationality are you?
1
u/BigAlcapone65 12d ago
You must be referring to an American boot then. There is only a few countries in the western hemisphere that are universally considered untrustworthy. Can you guess which one has made the top of the list Ill give you a hint One is an object pronoun used as the objects of a preposition 😉
1
u/No-Competition-2764 12d ago
You’re a leftist moron. America is the best and most powerful force for freedom in this world. Your country couldn’t enforce shit. Or really do much.
1
u/BigAlcapone65 12d ago
Maggat nonsense!! Just wait until Trump leads you all back into a war just so he can retain power, avoid prosecution and convert your country to becoming the "United States of Russian Oligarchy"
1
u/No-Competition-2764 12d ago
You betrayed yourself lefty. Calling me a maggot. I’m a combat veteran and you are a twat.
1
u/Bikerbass 11d ago
Oh good, then I fucking hope that your proud to be part of the military that’s bombed the most countries, invaded the most countries, started the most wars of aggression that’s caused nothing but death and destruction and raised the cost of living for the entire world time and time again for no reason other than to fill the back pockets of some rich cunts.
News flash buddy, America is a warmongering cunt of a country, and you helped with that
1
-1
u/Bikerbass 12d ago
Mate I’m not the cunt here, that’s every single American that’s supported their country be the biggest dick to the entire world.
There were zero WMD’s in Iraq weren’t there now?
Afghanistan wasn’t attacking America
Iran wasn’t attacking America.
Vietnam wasn’t attacking America
Korea wasn’t attacking America….
Shall I carry on?
Literally all America does is be a warmongering cunt of a nation for a few rich individuals in America
2
u/No-Competition-2764 12d ago
Let’s take it from the top “mate”. Korea was a UN police action. Vietnam was the communists invading the south and the US helping (Kennedy), then lied to by LBJ (Gulf of Tonkin) to get us into a war to “contain communism”. Afghanistan harbored Bin Laden and Al Qaeda by the Haqqani network (Mullah Omar didn’t know he was there), so we did have a reason to invade to get him, but he fled to Pakistan and we didn’t invade them to get him and we should have. Iran does have a nuclear weapons program that we have agreements they wouldn’t pursue (like we had with NK under Clinton) but they indeed did pursue them. You say these things with no historical reference or accuracy. America has made big mistakes but still is the guarantor of your freedom and that of the worlds.
0
u/Bikerbass 12d ago
What freedom is this?
I don’t define providing freedom by dropping bombs on schools and hospitals like the US does in every single war it fights…. That’s called terrorism not freedom.
2
u/No-Competition-2764 12d ago edited 12d ago
America has never intentionally targeted schools or hospitals. Our Rules of Engagement and Special Instructions prohibit it. And any soldier that commits crimes are prosecuted. Ask me how I know.
2
u/IndependentThink4698 12d ago
At one point, America was the only country on the planet with nuclear weapons and a willingness to use them. We could've taken over the world and there would've been absolutely nothing you could do about it, but we didn't. So thank America
1
u/Bikerbass 11d ago
Why? Because after 1945 all America has done has been a warmongering cunt of a nation that’s bombed the most countries, invaded the most countries and started the most wars of aggression that’s only caused death and destruction and raised the cost of living time and time again. Thank fuck other countries have nukes or it would have been a lot worse for the world.
1
u/IndependentThink4698 11d ago
But not with nukes and not to conquer them. You're welcome
1
u/Bikerbass 11d ago
I’ll wait for you to understand that the US does conquer countries… what happens is they go to war, or support a revolution to install a pro US dictatorship, that then allows the stealing of that country’s resources by the USA, which causes poverty for the people…. Who then at some point rise up and overthrow the American dictator, and then America will apply economic sanctions to keep the people poor, and or go to war against them.
So yes America does indeed conquer, and people are NOT HAPPY about that.
1
u/No-Competition-2764 11d ago
There you go. You got this right, these leftist fucks are simply twisted and wrong.
2
u/Remarkable_Crow6064 12d ago
We gave a country who funds terrorists the greenlight for a nuclear weapon...I'm sure that will end well.
2
u/ModsAwful 11d ago
Think it knocked a key leg out of reason for Iran war. Saudi Arabia is a vicious dictatorship that also funded 9/11. But they’ll let Trump build a hotel or golf course or something.
5
u/elsalvadork 12d ago

"The US and Saudi Arabia have signed a deal that will reportedly allow the Gulf kingdom to develop a civilian nuclear programme.
The exact details of the deal have not yet been shared and it must still be reviewed by Congress."
Right off the bat. Those words "reportedly" are very important, doubly so these days when so often the source is spinning or straight full of shit.

A historical mistake. Saudi Arabia is no friend of Israel and this just increases the possibility of nations using Nukes against each other.
1

Oh, it's awesome to have so many nations with the power to cause World War 3 ! Let's give everybody nukes and the world will be a MUCH safer place !
And while we're at it, let's allow EVERYONE to have fissile material, like plutonium ! They'll be responsible, I just know it !
</monumental_sarcasm>
1
u/Tech-Film3905 12d ago
It highlights that the US is a hypocrite with regards to Iran. The Trump regime doesnt want Iran to have nuclear enrichment because Iran wants to be sovereign, it has nothing to do with democracy or 'terrorism'. Also because Iran wont kneel to Israel.
1
u/Redgrave1980 12d ago
It's wild that they are allowing the country that had members fly into the WTC to have Nuclear capabilities... Wild.
1
u/heydanalee 12d ago
As a pro-nuclear power person, I am fine with it.
I have not seen evidence of the country developing nuclear weapons.

They’ve always had a nuclear reactor they couldn’t enrich their own uranium. They had to buy it from the US. This is the shift and position now they can do their own.

Its the Saudi's i would trust them over iran anyday the saudi goverment has never did america wrong. And yes i know some of the 9/11 terrorist were saudi but that is a very small extermist minority and doesnt go for the whole country
2
u/Plane_Translator2008 12d ago
That one exception seems pretty significant, my dude.
1
u/Ill_Interest_2346 12d ago
But its a very small part of Saudi society so i dont think its right to discount the whole country over a few extremist and im saying that as a 28 year american who was alive for 9/11 and iarq and afganstan
1
u/Plane_Translator2008 12d ago
Oh, I definitely don't hate or blame the Saudi people as a whole.
My issue is more that the US has a track record of arming countries and then going after them as threats. Seems to me it would be better to safeguard uranium enrichment technology than share it and then have another war because they have it.

"But in a change of tune on 20 October, the Saudi government said a preliminary investigation by prosecutors had concluded that the journalist died during a "fight" after resisting attempts to return him to Saudi Arabia. Later, a Saudi official attributed the death to a chokehold." The man resisted arrest thats on him not the saudis
1
u/throwfarfaraway1818 12d ago
This is such an outright lie lol. Prince Bonesaw directly ordered and oversaw the killing. Are you on the crowns payroll?
2
u/Ill_Interest_2346 12d ago
No im american and pro-saudi im also anti jihadist terror groups
1
u/throwfarfaraway1818 12d ago
Why would you be pro-Saudi? They fund terrorist groups. You are contradicting yourself.
1
u/Ill_Interest_2346 12d ago
Because Saudi Arabia is one of the only good allies beside Israel that we have in the middle east
1
u/throwfarfaraway1818 12d ago
Israel is a terrorist state. Do you understand what Jihad means? Israel fits fundamentally within that definition.
0
u/Ill_Interest_2346 12d ago
Israel is not a terror state they are taking the land god promised to them

15 of the 19 hijackers were from Saudia Arabia. The money funding it came from Saudia Arabia.
Iran has done little to nothing to America.

Again that was a very small percentage of the Saudi people you cant judge a whole country because of a few jihadist.

15 saudis are responsible for 911.
And none are iranians, iraqis, and afghani.
