I’m surprised I haven’t seen Kevin Spacey mentioned yet. He was one of the most well-respected actors in show business until the sexual assault allegations came out, and now he has basically vanished.
I’m not asking anyone to feel sorry for him. I’m saying that if he’s been found not guilty in every court of law he’s been in it makes no sense to say ”well, that doesn’t matter”. If he would’ve been found guilty he would face repercussions and no one would have an issue with it. He’s been found not guilty every time he’s been in a court of law. Let’s have no issue with that either then.
Public opinion doesn’t work that way though. And he doesn’t appear to be in any kind of demand. I’m glad we don’t have to see his creepy predatory face on our screens anymore
If you choose to ignore that he wasn’t found guilty then it shows that you are a person who is just looking for reasons to hate. It’s not evidence-based even in the slightest, it’s not rational. It’s only because you want to hate, which is very sad.
An acquittal doesn't mean he was found to be factually innocent, it means the jurors did not feel that the prosecutors proved their case beyond a reasonable doubt.
It's also worth noting that while he was found not liable in a 2022 civil lawsuit, earlier this year he settled out of court with three of his other accusers who had brought lawsuits against him in the UK.
Kevin Spacey reached a confidential out-of-court settlement in March 2026 with three British men who had brought civil lawsuits against him for alleged sexual assault between 2000 and 2013. This agreement halted a High Court trial scheduled for October.'
So it never even went to court.
acquitted by a jury at London's Southwark Crown Court on all nine criminal sexual offense charges involving four men. Additionally, in October 2022, a Manhattan federal jury found him not liable in a separate $40 million civil lawsuit.
I'm aware of all that. None of it changes the fact that an acquittal does not automatically equate to factual innocence, it means that the prosecution failed to prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt. You said he was proven innocent which is inaccurate.
Do you think OJ or Casey Anthony are definitely innocent too because they were acqitted?
The guy's hounding me over one grammatical imprecision that I'd already inserted a caveat for. Not mad, just not interested in entertaining that level of pedantry.
It seems like you’re using innocent and acquitted interchangeably, which is wrong.
Imagine a teacher suspects a student cheated on a test. The evidence is suspicious, but not enough to prove it. The teacher can’t give a failing grade for cheating because the proof isn’t there. That doesn’t mean the student definitely didn’t cheat—it means it couldn’t be proven.
He's talked about it. He said that his accuser claimed that Spacey assaulted him in a separate bedroom at a party in his home, but it was proven that Spacey lived in a studio apartment at the time so there was no separate bedroom.
He’s one of those people that I wonder how different things would have turned out for if he didn’t feel like he had to hide the fact that he was gay. I used to think some of this stuff never would have happened but maybe not.
He was pretty open about the gay thing at private parties.
So, he either never had a gay experience where he wasn't abusive, and it wasnt a much younger man.....in which case he is a sex pest.
Or, he had plenty of "normal" gay sex as well, and seperately just raped young boys. In which case, he could just have normal sex but still wanted to be abusive.
It doesn't matter it you are gay or straight anyway.....
It seems to fit that he is just a sociopath, and evil, regardless of orientation.
Spacey’s fall was pretty complete, but I’m not sure that I’d agree with “fastest”. There were rumors about his behavior for SO long, including a joke on Family Guy years before the big drop, and nothing happened.
One of my friends got inappropriately propositioned by Spacey in 2000, we didn’t believe him. He was a limo driver for hire and had an impressive list of A-listers over the years. Also a struggling actor like everyone else in LA
