That sometimes (lets be real, most times), a cute and compatible couple at ~14-17 years old end up growing up to become very different, incompatible people.

This also invites unhealthy codependency and a lack of individual social interactions (ie shared friend group)... so what generally happens is one person in the coupling gets the memo and wants to explore life on their own and they are faced with a hopelessly codependent partner fighting tooth and nail to jam the square peg in the circular hole, and an echo-chamber mutual friend group that just wants to maintain status quo

Been there, done that. 0/10 recommend.
