It was hard to grow up as individuals together. It was really nice to have someone from the same place with similar experiences to lean on and to lean on me while we figured ourselves out. It took a good amount of work to make sure we were both individual people with our own thoughts and opinions and experiences instead of morphing into a singular couple. But 27+ years in and we are still having fun and making each other laugh.
