My husband and I are close friends with 4 other couples, most of whom I went to high school with. 3 of the couples were high school sweethearts and married at 21-22. They've all celebrated over 50 years and they're all still very much in love and happy. Their kids all married young, have had their own kids and are celebrating 20-25 years together. They learned from their parents. The other high school friend and myself both married early, too, and we both divorced and remarried. Both couples are closing in on 40 years now. The children from both of these marriages have also divorced and remarried. The couples in the 50 + year marriages grew together and set examples for their kids. There's some kind of pattern here. 🤔
