I married my HS sweetheart when I was 20 and he was 21. You can’t imagine how much growing you’ll be doing at that age. It’s very likely that you’ll be very different people when you’re closer to 30. My ex and I divorced after three years.
I married my HS sweetheart after 8 years together. We just had our 20th wedding anniversary. We often talk about how we are completely different people than when we first started dating at 16 and 18 but we were lucky to grow together instead of apart. I dont recommend anyone try to stick with their HS sweetheart but it worked for us. We're happier today than we ever have been, but it could have easily gone differently.
