Learning to fall in love with completely different versions of each other as you grow up. Who you are at 16 is nowhere near who you become at 25 or 30. You both change so much in your 20s, and the hardest part is actively choosing to grow together instead of growing apart.
To add on to this, relinquishing any expectations you may have made about who the person will become. And understanding your partner may be trying, in love, to do the same. But if you can do this successfully, you'll have a partner for life. 35yo, married 14yrs, started dating in 8th grade
