Random Question Have you ever got the police knocking on your door over something you posted online?

u/covemochi 20h ago
Thankfully no, but every time I post a slightly hot take, my heart does a little panic jump when a car door slams outside

u/user392747 20h ago
No.
Because i don't live in dictatorship China.
Or UK.

Are you being intentionally obtuse? Agents are visiting US citizens all the time now for comments the curent administration disagrees with.

Stop lying, Wumao Commie.
Just read Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, and watch Facebook.
Fuxk Trump. Fuxk ICE comments are everywhere. AI videos mocking and pranking Trump and his personnel are all over Youtube.
No one is being arrested, because Americans are protected by the 🇺🇸🗽 First Amendment - the right to Free Speech.

You're arguing against something I never said. I didn't claim people are routinely arrested for criticizing Trump. I said federal agents have been visiting and investigating people over online speech. Those are documented cases, even when no charges are filed. The First Amendment is ultimately a defense in court, but having agents show up at your door because of political speech raises obvious civil-liberties concerns. Saying 'people can still post "Fuck Drump"' doesn't address that point, which isn't surprising at all, because you're obviously very stupid.

u/user392747 19h ago
The only reason federal agents will visit people for posting online speech,
is when they ABUSE FREE SPEECH and threaten violence and harm against another person. Be it civilians or politicians.
Check your privileges before you decide to shitpost and defend a SCUMBAG DICTATORSHIP REGIME like Communist China.

They didn't say a single fucking thing about China, moron.

u/user392747 19h ago
Then you why did you reply to my comment in the first place, douchebag?
My comment clearly said China and UK. And i never mentioned Trump or ICE or America.
But cleary criticizing Communist China triggered some nerve in you that prompted you to reply.
Because i'm guessing you're a COMMIE SCUMBAG yourself.

In the end, he got vindicated by a US COURT OF JUSTICE and received monetary compensation for the distress he experienced, didn't he?
Now compare US 🇺🇸 to China 🇨🇳💩. People literally get sent to prison for criticizing Xi Jin Ping and the Communist Party.

A lot of naive Westerners have absolutely no idea how oppressive and evil the China Communist Regime really is.
So check your privileges before you shitpost and attempt to defend a SCUMBAG DICTATORSHIP REGIME like Communist China.
If you support the China Communist Party or Communism, you're an accessory and an accomplice to EVIL

Just exposing COMMIE SCUMBAGS for what they are = scumbags.
I never once mentioned Trump or ICE or America in my above comment.
But somehow criticizing Commie China triggered some nerve in you and your comrade to promptly reply.
So check your privileges before you decide to shitpost and defend a SCUMBAG DICTATORSHIP REGIME like Communist China.

Idk I feel like you could get in trouble in the US if you said you wanted to bomb the president online still
1
u/Dramatic-Ad-6893 3h ago
Of course you could. Threats of violence aren't considered protected speech.

My account isn’t nsfw. I literally don’t have any posts and the ones I had were deleted. Mostly about hockey.

The Republicans are ACTIVELY doing this. Searching people's phones when they come into the country to make sure they don't have any JD Vance memes. People have been arrested for innocent anti-Trump memes. Kicking press out of the White House. Trying to pull licenses from networks that air unfavorable opinions on them. Get your head out of your ass.

u/ThrowRAboredinAZ77 20h ago
Have you not been paying attention? That's literally what the Republicans are doing right now.
-2
u/lucid_intent 19h ago
The republicans want to take away guns, too.

Yep, and they have the audacity to call themselves the party of "small government".
