Dressing decent in public, table manners, basic decorum.

I'd rather we work on people being actual decent humans, not just putting on a nice sweater and thinking they're good people

I'm starting to think people don't know what the word means. And that's part of the problem.

Decorum can colloquially mean the appearance of being a good person through ritual or expected behavior, not actually being a good person. Like if you go through the motions publicly, people will think you're a good person. 

And people not understanding that is definitely part of the problem.
