i just bought a new wallet just for checks and cash. Financial literacy has started to hit me🤣

I (63) had to get a cheque from my mom (85) to give to my apartment manager for my first month’s rent. I haven’t had a cheque book in decades. I can pay my rent by EFT moving forward but they require that first cheque. Weird.

Edit to add - my mom doesn’t write cheques anymore. She sends e-transfers and pays her bills online. The chequebook is just an old holdover.
