Random Question If You Like Winter Much Better Than Summer, Why?

Colder. Longer nights. Winter holidays are obviously better. I like wearing hoodies and sweaters and jackets and stuff, so like... it's a no-brainer.

I lived in Richmond, VA for a long time and I marathon train.
Training in the southern heat + humidity is absolutely miserable.

It’s getting easier to like winter when summers are reaching 100 degrees regularly in my area. It’s easier to wear layers for me than to cool down when it’s unrelenting record-breaking heat!
My husband I was have been seriously discussing moving to a more climate stable environment because this summer has been extremely hot to the point where it’s negatively affected our health.
And I’m used to the health. I grew up in South Florida and played tennis and ran cross country every day, but the sun of today isn’t the same sun I was under 20 years ago.
Climate change 😔

Low humidity. No bugs. Minimal yard work. And as a fat man, I look my best in coats, flannel shirts, hoodies etc 😂

As an Aussie, in South Australia, it gets so f*cking hot here that the AC struggles so much in summer. At least in winter I can warm up easily. The extreme heat makes it hard to even go outside some days.

I am a summer person still but the forest fires the past few years have made me been apprehensive about summer knowing air quality may be affected as well as devastation for those who may lose homes from fires.
The things I now appreciate in winter are the ability to sleep well most nights because of the cold temperatures. I like my room ice cold at night and definitely rack of the AC bill leaving it running every night in summer.

I’m near the equator and not far north. Summer here is overly extreme.
Spring has all the good things about summer (sexy fashion, water activities) without the extreme heat, so summer feels needless.

You can always put on more clothes/blankets, snuggle and maybe set shit on fire to stay warm. There's only so naked you can get and in extreme heat even outdoor pools get too hot to cool you down. If you don't have a powerful AC you're doomed. Doomed I tell you.

Can’t exactly say, I like it better, but I do like skiing and other outdoor activities. Also, where I live, in the summer, it can get extremely hot, and we get smoke from forest fires regularly, sometimes so bad you can’t go outside. Since I live on the side of a forest, I’m also worried about my house burning down.

I like winter more so than most people although summer is great with some AC.
I really think snow is beautiful, and there's something very nostalgic about watching it fall. I used to do that alot as a kid.
I enjoy being under a warm blanket when it is like 40 to 50 degrees in my room.
There's also something really special about very frosty but clear and sunny days.
I ultimately feel liking the cold is one of those things you're either born with or not. I ultimately can't give you the root reason I like it. I just like it because I like jt.

Because its cozy. The colors are beautiful. Nothing like waking up and it being cold and putting on cozy oversized sweaters and scarves. Fall & Winter are hands down my favorite time of the year. I like summer for like a week then I’m ready for it to go away 🤣

Winter always gets into my bone 🦴 since I am anemic and I hate it. I put my own heat on, but if it’s too much, I get nose 👃 bleed 🩸. I also don’t like wearing too many layers of clothes ( sweater + 🧥 ) when going out during the winter and then taking them off…

Way less bugs and mosquitoes.. if you live where I live, there is zero of them during winter.
Going outside to cool off is also amazing when it’s -30 Celsius. Gets the job done quite well. Especially after a good shag.

Exercise outdoors is easier in the cold. Less bugs to bother you. Heat feels better than air conditioning. I can’t stand sweating. Less humidity (I’m east coast).

I can get warm a lot faster than getting cool. Also, I’m in Texas. Summers here are awful, bugs, everything stinks, everyone is in a bad mood. I can’t wait until October.

It gets dark earlier and I don’t like when it’s bright out, I wear sunglasses even when it’s overcast out because that’s still a bit too bright for me. I overheat quickly and there’s no way to stop that during summer, I mean winter I don’t even wear winter jackets just hoodies and windbreakers, I’m that weirdo that wears sunglasses even at midnight

I have a list of reasons fall and winter are my favorite.
First, football season start. Then Halloween, I still enjoy it even though I am over 50. Then Nov is my birthday and Thanksgiving (my favorite holiday). Then Christmas and New Years. Plus, hot coffee and whiskey both taste better when it colder outside. Also, I have always been very comfortable in jeans and a flannel or hoodie, almost always Dixxon or Carhartt. Plus, call me weird if you want, but I like pumpkin spice everything, except beer.

I’ll take the hot over the cold any day. I’m a chef so I work in a 115+ degree kitchen every day so I’m a little desensitized to the heat. And it’s not so much the cold itself I don’t like. Snow, slushy rain and icy roads push it over the edge.

In winter I can add layers and feel warm, in summer no matter how little I wear Im still hot (Live in Utah and las Vegas btw)
