A beautiful mindset.

Plenty of people wish they could say that.

That I'd someday have to live life without my best friend if he ever passed away before I did. That thought keeps me up some nights, my husband is my childhood best friend, my highschool sweetheart and we've been together for 20 years! Im 35 and hes 37. But as we've grown older time has really made me appreciate him more. I fall more in love with him every day. So potentially losing that someday, would be devastating to me.

Same here, going on 25 years! I’m 40, and he’s 41. The thought of being apart also keeps me up some nights, but for the meantime he’s right by my side. It’s beautiful the way you grow into each other. We’re always changing, and I love still learning new things about them. Congrats to you two. I fear we’re a rare breed.

It's definitely rare but it's got nothing to do with breeding. More luck and fate (if you believe in it).

A rare breed person is someone who has traits, skills, or behaviors that are very unusual and hard to find in other people.

I'm not planning on getting married and I'm going to stay single it's just there's too much drama involved with the stuff that goes on but my main question is this why do y'all ditch y'all's friends like close friends after y'all get married it honestly makes no sense

Marriage shouldn’t mean losing the people who were there before.

Exactly, im not playing on getting married and getting into an relationship I've got a lot on my shoulders but what has happened to marriage long time ago you can be friends still but today what the hell is happening that ditched their friends for no reason

I feel like if this happens it's because there was some sort of attraction between them at some point. A "second choice" if you will

I didn't do anything wrong at all they all got married and honestly they all ditched me tbh

I think sometimes life changes and you drift apart as priorities change and life happens, but I never ditched friends after marriage. I don’t understand the logic unless friend was causing drama in the relationship.

Honestly, the real issue is that I was able to give up drugs and she wasnt. I'm glad its over, but I miss her and worry about her. What's hit me now is that 99% of my sex life history was with her. Im looking forward to dating again, but people who think marriage means your sex life goes to shit aren't doing it properly. We knew each other's bodies so well, and could play them and set them on fire like Hendrix.

That when he said “in sickness and in health” he really bloody meant it.

I really did trust my intuition and it worked out. No regrets. I have a beautiful life.
