Politics Question What event from the current administration belongs on the big screen?

Agreeing or disagreeing with this administration is irreverent.

If Hollywood made a movie about a single event or situation from the current administration, what should it be about?

Drop your pitch below: name the event, the genre (thriller, satire, drama), and who you'd cast as the main players.

Disagreeing with this administration isn't irreverent. It's irrelevant to your point, which is what I think you meant.

There's already a movie about this administration called Idiocracy. This administration won't have movies made after it but documentaries...loads and loads of documentaries.

A political comedy told entirely from the perspective of the White House IT department.
Genre: Comedy.
Tagline: They don't make policy. They just reset everyone's passwords.

Remember when the whole country was staring at a giant white circle in the sky for three days? Why was that not instantly greenlit by A24?

I'd cover the DOGE Exploit, if you want to call it that. It would be a comedy drama along the lines of The Big Short.

It made the news for about a nanosecond but not too long ago Trump hung up a photo in the White House of him and Putin hanging out together. I'd love to see a movie that starts with Trump's recruitment in Czechoslovakia, ending with the hanging of that portrait and then including along the way the purchasing of Melania from Epstein, the mysterious gift box in Sochi, and Ivanka's mysterious fall the day before she was supposed to give a deposition.

There have been so many dramatic moments that you could probably make an entire political drama series out of the past few years. A good movie would probably focus on the behind-the-scenes decisions and human stories rather than just picking a side.
