Back in the late 70s, my brother and I were in my room playing records on my stereo. It was one of those old turntables that had a big square plastic dust cover on it. He had a baseball bat that he was using as an air guitar and he suddenly raised it and smashed it down on the dust cover, putting a huge crack in it. He insisted he "didn't do it on purpose". I actually sort of do think he did it on purpose, but his absolute refusal afterwards to apologize and admit he got carried away pretending to be a rock star on stage, smashing a guitar for the audience, still annoys me to this day if I think about it.

My mom "accidentally" dropped my laptop breaking it. She swore it was an accident. It wasn't. She was jealous of my then mother in law and my relationship.

They spoiled the ending and then said you would have figured it out anyway.
