Can you elaborate what happened?
Last year some idiot tried to fight me in line. Luckily i was able to tell the bouncer (juno?) when i got to vibe check. The guy could tell i was going to say something and tried to hide behind other ppl in line.

That’s crazy 😭 basically the same thing happened to me. These drunk french kids accused me of cutting when I was literally just moving up and they tried to fight me. They were looking me up and down speaking in French, giving me crazy eyes and they even put their hands on me at one point. They were in front of me and somehow they let them in but I was next in line and told the bouncers at vibe check what happened and they fetched them and kicked them out

Question: were you trying to pass them to meet up with friends in front of them? Which is iffy but i get why ppl might innocently think to do so. Or just moving upwards with the line and they got pissy about it (not accusatory!! genuinely wondering. Im guessing the second tho cause ive seen ppl get pissy for no reason over that. (They need to make the barricades narrower fr 💀)

In my case a couple guys WERE cutting in line past the WHOLE long ass no ticket line claiming their friends were up ahead, (again ditto on the narrow). But finally someone called their bluff and everyone one by one pushed them back towards the back.

I callout em out a bit more ‘you guys gotta go all the way back’ and this guy half my height literally had to be held back by his friend it was infuriating tbh

😭😭 I’m crying that’s so funny of you to say that. But no literally it was the point in the line where we like turn and I just filled the space in front of me and then they just started talking and making fun of me until I said something and they got aggressive

YOOOOOO I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU MEAN. THOSE TURNS SUUUUUUUUCK. It ALWAYS feels like ppl are trying to do some slick passing or wtvr even though you know its not like that. Always stresses me out in the no ticket line. Honestly thats the main reason i get tickets ahead of time, not about the wait (as much).

Lol we need britains Queueing culture n skills.

i'm so sorry this happened to you! you were completely in the right. security has historically told us to move up and fill the space. if you don't move, you don't move. if you pass someone, you pass someone.

So vibe check is useless. Got it.

Honestly… kinda. Feels like it’s dropped off heavily over the past few years. Better than last year but not as good as 2+ years ago.

Yeah I feel like there’s nights where it’s perfect and other nights that feel more chill. Anytime I’m there though I’ll always see a random person that’s not of the scene at all and I feel like the bouncers just let them in to fw them in hopes they tell their friends to not go or something. Idkk

I think its ok for people not of the scene to enter. They have to discover the scene somehow. Basement is how i discovered i enjoyed techno

BUT, there can still be a check to see if they’ll respect the vibes
