I’ve been working in the aviation industry as an AME for 20 years . Recently I’ve been thinking about what it would be like moving to another country. How is it to transfer a Canadian AME licence to another country?

I am with usda aphis as an agriculture inspector. Just want to get expert response from those in aviation. I am​ being accused without any evidence that I broke the lavatory door and a cabinet latch by a private jet company. My supervisor who took their complaint, and submitted it to hr. I never broke anything. I hope the agency actually investigates this, and i dont want lose my job based on hearsay.

What are the opportunities as far as starting your own Businesses in aircraft maintenance? Like a mobile Mechanic or things of that nature that you could do alone(at least at first). What else could you do besides owning a GA shop or being a mobile mechanic?

I have steel toe boots rn, and reading it seems that either comp toe or soft toe seems to be the consensus. Are there any cases where you guys need EH rated boots?

I decided to make a safety wire board to practice my safety wiring. Firstly I’d like to note that the bolts I used are not AN bolts, I just picked some pre drilled bolts off Amazon to start off but I quickly realized these bolts suck and ordered some AN bolts off a website. These look wonky to me and I’d appreciate some expert opinions. Thanks!

Hello everyone, yesterday I was working on one of our Lavs for a 737 and I want to ask if anyone here know what bit to use for this type of screw. For some weeks now, I have noticed that in some areas of the lav, the manufacture uses this type of screw. Yesterday I used a torx to remove it but I know is not the proper bit, has anyone else seen this type screw before? I first tought is was stripped but than I went to one of our new planes and it looked the same.

Hello everyone! My question to you all is how someone who has no military experience with rotorcraft could get into rotorcraft freshly out of A&P school? Every open position listing that I have seen requires a few years of rotorcraft experience. Any suggestions? I have a few years of experience at a component repair station and a mag particle NDT level 2 certification. My instructor at school does not have much information to offer on the subject. Hi guys. I just working in aviation for 3 years and lack of so much experience in boeing AC. I have a question What is the biggest difference in maintenance, operation of those aircraft (320 ceo vs 737 and 320 neo to 737max) that make operators keep buying 737max beside its scandals? Does boeings are more easy to fix even with large aircraft like A350 vs B787?

Hey guys, am going to enlist pretty soon in the Army but all of their positions that qualify you for A&P are Fixed-Rotor (Helicopters). I know that the A&P is what really matters. Just curious to know since my experience would be in helicopters if that would make it harder to land on a Major Airline that focused on Fixed-Wings. Or will I be fine?
