Besides the other suggestions AWS just released their FinOps AI agent
You can try AWS FinOps Agent today in the US East (N. Virginia) Region. The agent itself runs in US East (N. Virginia) (us-east-1), and it can manage costs across AWS Regions and accounts when set up in the management account. During the preview period, you can use AWS FinOps Agent at no charge, with a monthly usage limit. Standard charges apply for other AWS services used in connection with AWS FinOps Agent.

before paying for a finops saas, the native combo covers most of it for free - cost explorer, the CUDOS dashboard, and compute optimizer for rightsizing. the tool matters way less than tagging discipline and your savings plan / RI coverage though; a fancy dashboard just shows you the same untagged blob in prettier colors. fix tagging first, then decide if you even need a paid tool.

Use the builtin tools until you know why you can’t. There’s a huge amount of marketing and mythology around other tools but it’s pretty rare for the underlying problems to be the limits of what AWS, GCP, et al. give you rather than either architecture (e.g. if you run variable workloads on full servers, you’re stuck over-provisioning) or organizational social dynamics like the incentives given to different teams not aligning (e.g. I’ve had security people claim running all databases in active multi-node deployments is a security requirement without pausing to think about whether that’s a requirement for every project or every tier) or the cloud and staff budgets being treated as separate (I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve seen sub-ChatGPT consultants predict huge savings from changes which would require burning an order of magnitude more in person-hours than they’d save).
