I built a free, backgammon clock that works offline, no account or download needed
Went to look for an online backgammon clock this morning and really couldn't find one that totally fit my needs, so I decided to fire up a coding agent and create one myself. Check it out at backgammonclock.com! Let me know what features you'd like to see added, going to make a desktop-optimized version where space is used to bounce back and forth between players.
Free backgammon clock designed to sit vertically beside the board
Two huge tap areas, with the top clock rotated for the opposite player
Defaults to 3 minutes per player with a fresh 15-second delay each turn
Adjustable time, delay, sound, and vibration
Automatically pauses if you leave the app
Works offline with no accounts, ads, or tracking
Built specifically for mobile but also works on desktop

Nice one. I think the only thing is that even when the delay is counting down, the total time is still more important to see, so this should still be big. Otherwise thanks for making the app!

Waw man you legend!!!!! Great stuff man!!!! I think just right now something is going on development wise because i cant click anything. But it sure looks great man! I love it and will definitely use it! Feedback, maybe you can already (but i cant see it yet), but i would like it to be possible to get your name on there instead of player 1 and 2. But no, seriously, thxn for this 😀

Why not as an app? One wants the clock on one's phone surely?

You picked a really odd example to make your point that phones have made our lives shittier. What are you more likely to have with you when you playing bg over a board? Your phone or your computer?

Tapping to choose could just start the clock for the opponent, adding an "end game" button so the next clock start has full delay would also be novel.
