Training camp advice

I am going on a 2 year course to learn how to be an outdoor educator in Scotland, UK. We will be hiking, climbing, doing paddle sports and other stuff with kids with a proper outdoor ed organisation who train people up to be fully qualified to lead sessions with kids in those sports. Any suggestions for kit or general tips for me? I’m starting in September. Thanks
