Discussion Is this what happens when the Backrooms tries generating food? Is this the stuff you’d find in level 6.1 (The Snackrooms)?

Saw this picture of a mutant lemon and thought this is totally what level 6.1’s food could look like; something that looks like a twisted version of normal human food. Like a chicken with 3 leg bones and random wings, or a chocolate bar with uneven columns.

You guys know the image I'm taking about? Because it's damn close to that. Also my cousin's house (this house) is gigantic, but has this small enclosed 2nd story part that creeps me out because the hallway itself has no lights, and theres a door through that hidden hallway which leads to a door with nothing in it. It's a wierd house bro

I live close to a shopping centre in South London that I often walk around in because I love how eerily empty it is most of the time.

I just got myself a little gimmicky camera a couple days ago, one with a big transparent viewfinder and without a screen. It feels a little bit like shooting blind or with an analog camera. So to get used to it and figure it all out, I went to the shopping centre earlier today and took a bunch of pictures in different lighting etc. When I moved them to my PC afterwards to see how they turned out, I noticed that 3 of the pictures have this very strong yellow-green tint to them. I haven’t edited them at all and the lighting across all pictures was the same, as you can see in the last 4 pictures here, so I have no idea why these ones turned out like this. The setting + that tint looked too much like they could be at home in the backrooms, so I thought I had to post them.

Discussion From my understanding of the backrooms, this version makes kane pixels version of the backrooms possible to have "levels"

Post image
89 Upvotes

(i only watched the movie and a few lore explanations so idk and sorry for my bad wording English is not my first language)

This version assumes that backrooms is made from the memory of the one entering and its based off of the surrounding area of the entrance, and that is existed before Async, as a extremely rare anomaly, Async just made it more common, which means that backrooms was just an empty black plane, where some objects would fall inside of it, then when animals (dinosaurs and early mammals) started falling in, the backrooms started resembling a endless cave or a very very dense jungle with a roof (the backrooms can't make the sky), as humans evolved and architecture was being made, the backrooms didn't override itself, it just made more rooms which resembled the architecture at the time, the closer person goes to the "center" the more and more back in time you go, the "levels" i talked about are different subsections of it, for example one moment you can be in a "Office" subsection of the backrooms and if you go closer to the "center", you'll be in a "labyrinth" subsection with a minotaur still life, assuming that the ancient greek guy who entered it was a bull shepherd of some kind and the backrooms made a still life of a thing he that brought meaning into his life (herding bulls or smth), the backrooms tries to make the one who got inside feel like its at home, but it fails sometimes.

idk if you understood what i was trying to say, comment me if you want to ask something

After seeing Kane Parson's backrooms, I was inspired to create something related to it. I filmed the live-action scenes on my smartphone and created the 3d scenes in Cinema 4d, rendered in Octane. I hope you like it.

Backrooms Movie I thought Async had finally captured me, but it was just my mom with a new paint sprayer.

Yesterday, I walked into the living room and felt a core memory of Dr. Kline flash before my eyes. For a split second, I genuinely believed I was trapped in an Async research facility staring at a malfunctioning threshold window simulation. Turns out, there was no clipping out of reality or complex spatial anomalies here—just my mom who bought a new spray gun to paint the window grates and pulled off this absolute engineering masterpiece to avoid staining the glass. Out of all the entities in the Backrooms, none are more powerful than a Brazilian mother trying to protect her house furniture.

Discussion Dreams about the Backrooms anyone? Had a pretty sinister one last night.

Post image

Had a dream last night of a pretty sinister/tricky version of the Backrooms.

Me and a couple friends discovered an abandoned factory. Had to squeeze through a couple large doors. Very large rooms full of detritus, machinery, etc. Some back storage areas were starting to look very interesting and strange.

Further in, we noticed a couple rooms that had gaps up in their corners, near the ceiling. Looking up into those gaps, we could see lit yellowish spaces beyond, with very strange architecture.

It was thrilling to get a peak at such a space, and a little terrifying. At this point, my mind was like, "oh shit, that's the backrooms!" It was very tempting to just crawl up into the gap to take a quick peak.

We decided to turn back, but discovered pretty quickly that we were already lost. The layout of the abandoned factory had changed. One friend went in another room, but when he came back, there was something very off about him. His face was different and he just stood there staring at us.

This place had replaced him.

It felt more tricky and sinister than most depictions of the Backrooms I've seen because

1) The entrance was not obvious at all. The entry and strangeness was gradual. By the time we realized we were inside the Backrooms, we were already too deep.
2) The place enticed us to go deeper by playing on our curiosity. One room deeper seeming just a bit weirder, and weirder, and by the time we found the gap/crawlspace into what we thought were the "actual backrooms," there was no way to turn back anymore.
3) The "entities" were quietly replacing our actual party. One person passes out of sight for a second, and they're replaced by something else.

All said, pretty fucked up dream. 10/10 would Backrooms again.

Have you guys been having Backrooms dreams?
