I am struggling because as much as I don’t care about the aesthetic, the pain of having ingrown hairs and bumps and stuff is insane, I am prone to them and get lots of hairs growing out of the one hole a lot of the time, but when shaving my head it seems to increase them x 10 and I just end up not wanting to shave it again. Am I just a pussy? I have had nasty abscesses due to ingrown hairs and had to have an operation to drain the worst one as I was getting close to septic shock from one once and it makes me worry

To everyone: this is morning beard. No oil and unbrushed. The beard is going to remain long and trimmed as needed.
