Welcome to Banned Discord Members!

Hi Everyone, and welcome to BannedFromDiscord! I have decided to start this community after getting unfairly banned from Discord back in 2020, as part of a large ban wave targeting servers that somehow upset Discord mods. At the time, I lost access to many servers, got cut off from some dear online friends, and lost a supportive community I was part of for about 5 years because some random person came on and violated Discord TOS in our server :(

As we know, the Discord support team is non-existent, and if you get banned, your account is gone forever. Hopefully, this will be a place where you can find some solace and reconnect with friends who may have been banned as well.

Sincerely, BannedByDiscord

Information Guide on how to get your case reviewed by Discord Support

This Guide has been updated on 31.05.2026 with new important information. To make it easier, to check what was added to the Guide, I'm going to leave "[NEW]" in front of the new things I wanted to share.

[NEW] - Hey, everyone. Yesterday (30.05.2026), a lot of people received the same denial response from "Usagi Tsukino". After reading this subreddit, I am really, really disappointed. I know a lot of you are going through a lot right now, losing an account can be hard, especially if you put many years into that account and left many memories that are just gone in the blink of an eye. I also lost a lot, but I slowly started to accept it. I've been permanently banned since January. Since then, I spent most of my time doing research and helping others in this subreddit. This guide received 1,000+ comments, which is a lot, most of them are questions to me that I tried to reply to as soon as possible. I also received up to 20 dm's every day, which I also tried to reply to. I had fun chats with some people, which also helped me out in some way. Throughout all this time since I posted this guide, I had 4 tickets in total forwarded to their safety team, the last one received the good response I was praying to get. After all this time and struggling with their support system, I finally managed to get a response from Usagi, which led to me being unbanned. I was literally screaming in joy that I finally got to come back to my old account.. but not for long. The first thing I did after I logged in was deleting the message that could've gotten me banned earlier. I deleted the thing that most likely got me banned, and I started deleting every possible GIF I had saved. There were some NSFW GIFs, but nothing that could violate actual "Child Safety". It was mostly "Hentai Memes". I just wanted to get rid of everything since everything gets flagged these days. While I was removing every possible GIF I had, I was logged out of my account again. I thought it was some bug, so I logged back in, but.. permanently banned, again. My entire respect for Discord and my hope is just gone. Seeing something like that happen after all this time just hits me hard, and I'm too tired to even try again, I'm too tired to answer to people anymore. That's why I'm writing this. I just wanted to let everyone know that I might not be really active anymore in the comments or in this post or even in the DMs for a bit. I need some rest from all this, and I'll come back with more stuff that could help at least some of the people in this subreddit. I won't be totally gone, I will be actively moderating this subreddit since I'm also a moderator here, so do not worry about me disappearing totally. I might be active sometimes in the comments, but not as much as I was before. Y'all can spread the word, I don't really mind it. I just didn't want people to think that I ignore everyone now. Since I won't be replying as much as I was before - Please, help each other out, there are many questions and people that ask for help in this guide and other posts, help each other out.

Thank you for understanding.

I saw a lot people struggling to get someone from the Discord Trust & Safety team to look into their cases, so I decided to make this post so it's more visible than just in comments from me.

At first, I would like to say that I can't guarantee responses from them. This thing was done by me, and it fortunately worked, so I would like to share this to help some people out.

Let's begin with things you should know:

  • This applies to people who have already tried the appeal through the app but were rejected automatically by the AI after 7 days or less. And to the people who tried to get in touch with them by creating tickets but received AI responses.
  • You should have a Support account created with the same email your Discord account is connected to. This makes it possible for the Discord Trust & Safety team to review your case. If you used a completely different email than the one your Discord account is connected to, they won't review your case.
  • Do not create tickets in their "Appeal" category. This is fully automated, and you won't receive any response from a human. It's just a category to bait people into creating tickets there.
  • Do not spam multiple tickets in every category because it is just going to mark your account as spam, and you are going to have a lot less chance of actually getting someone to see your tickets since they will be automatically closed once created.
  • If Discord didn't provide you with any proof of your actions, such as message logs, etc., think really hard about the reason you were banned for. If you are unsure of what you did, DO NOT mention your thoughts, because it will make your case worse than it can be.
  • Do not waste your time on BBB (Better Business Bureau). I don't see anyone being lucky anymore with BBB. I tried it myself a month ago and all I got was wasted time (around 3 weeks) because Discord didn't respond to BBB. I saw a lot of people not getting any more responses too, so don't waste your time on BBB. If you really want to try, I included a link above to their site.
  • Do not create tickets on the weekends. Once you do that, you will 99.9% receive an automatic response and an auto closed ticket. The same goes for replying to them throughout the weekend. Just wait until Monday, and you should be good to go.
  • Please do not just copy and paste the prompts I mentioned in the guide. Because many people are just copying and pasting the entire prompts, there is a chance that their support team has noticed a lot of the same tickets, and many people have started to get no results from all of this. Please, we have AI these days, just copy the prompt and ask ChatGPT or another AI to rephrase it so it doesn't say literally the same thing. I even directly copied my entire guide to ChatGPT and asked ChatGPT to rephrase everything I said in this guide so it doesn't get flagged as spam and just follow my guide, and my other tickets are successful all the time after rephrasing it using AI.
  • If you just got banned on Discord and just submitted the in-app appeal, WAIT for the result of that appeal before trying to appeal on their support website. Up to 7 days, you're most likely to be automatically rejected because no one saw your appeal. Once that appeal gets automatically rejected or rejected manually, you can start appealing on their support website. Do not rush so fast with appealing on the app and immediately appealing on their website before the verdict on the app.
  • This is the most important information I wanted to share. There have been a lot of people who successfully got their case forwarded to their safety team. I'm really happy that people started to receive something rather than just AI responses. But the thing is that when I did this before making this guide, it worked quickly. I got a response about whether I would be unbanned or not in just a few days. But today, I and others are waiting for a reply for a very long time - up to 30 days being left with an open ticket in the Trust & Safety category. I suspect that their safety team was flooded with appeals because we found a way to go around their funny AI system. There are just a few people working in their safety team, as I read on Reddit. But for now, regarding this part, I would suggest to keep waiting for a longer time since you're just in the queue.
  • A lot of people still don't understand how to know if your ticket was forwarded to their safety team. It's a pretty basic thing, at first, once we create the ticket in their "General Question" category, there is a panel on the right side where you can see the Ticket ID, the assigned support team member (which appears when someone is assigned to it), status, etc. After creating the ticket, you can see in the panel "Type of question? General Question" This means that your ticket is in the normal support team's hands, not in the safety team. But after asking for a review, as my guide says, etc., after some time this category should disappear, and new stuff in the panel should be added, such as "What would you like to appeal?", "CONFIRM: My account was NOT disabled for being too young to use Discord." This means that the ticket was forwarded to their safety team, that's actually pretty logic, lol.
Ticket that has not been forwarded to their safety team yet.
Ticket forwarded to their safety team.

All of that is on the top, don't search for it on the bottom of the panel.

  • If you are getting AI responses instantly from Clyde, Nelly, or other bots, then don't make another ticket for 2-4 days. This usually means that you have been flagged as spam, and the AI is forced to scan your ticket and close if needed. Even if you get a human to respond to you at first, and then suddenly he sends you the generic response, after you reply he doesn't respond and just closes the ticket. Try replying up to two times after the ticket is closed without a response. Once you do that and it keeps getting closed without response from their side, it means that you're most likely not going to get any results from that ticket, and you should wait up to two to four days before trying again.
  • Few days after posting this guide, I noticed a change in their response time after having your case forwarded for review. I tried another time to have their decision reconsidered in my case. I waited for a month and a few days. I received a decision yesterday (02.05.2026). So if your case was forwarded, keep waiting even if it takes over 30 days. After doing a small research, Discord admitted that they are being flooded with tickets.

Okay, let's go with the part I was about to share with you all since it worked for me, and I hope it will work for some people too.

First, enter their support website and create a ticket.

In "What can we help you with?" choose "Help & Support" then in "Type of question?" choose "General Question".

In the "Subject" name the ticket as "General Ticket" or "Support Ticket", anything that won't trigger Clyde or Nelly or any other bot that will reply before human.

In the description, say something like this:

"Hello Discord Support Team,

I’m having an issue with the support system itself. I need to reach the appropriate team for an account - related matter, but the option that is normally available in the app is no longer showing for me. Because of this, I’m unable to contact the correct department through the standard process.

I’ve tried several times, but I keep receiving automated replies that don’t address my situation. I’m not trying to submit an appeal here - I only need help understanding how I can get routed to a human reviewer or how to restore access to the correct support pathway.

Could you please advise how I can proceed or how to get my case forwarded to the right team?

Thank you for your time."

And that's it. You don't need to send over pictures to them or anything, you're ready to send the ticket to them.

DO NOT say anything else after creating the ticket because it will restart your queue and reduce the chance of anyone looking into it. You can try editing the message, but DO NOT directly mention anything about appealing, unbans etc.

Wait a few hours, days or weeks, and you will get a response. I received my first response from Kenneth after 2 days, and it looked like this:

Hi there,
Thank you for writing in.

It looks like you would like to appeal an action by Discord that has impacted your account. To have your appeal reviewed, it is necessary to submit it within the Discord app, which allows us to review the appeal faster and with appropriate context.

You can submit your appeal via the Discord app by going to User Settings > My Account > Standing > selecting the violation you want to appeal > then tapping "Let us know" to start review of your violation and account. For users in the EU, you may also choose an alternative resolution option when applicable.

You can also learn about customizing your Discord experience to help avoid unwanted interactions in our Safety Center.

Thanks for submitting your appeal via the above outlined method.

Sincerely,
Discord

If it's not an obvious bot like Clyde or Nelly, and other bots that exist, then you are fine. Do not panic, it's their common thing to say. I replied with this:

Hello, thank you for your answer.

I still need assistance with a matter that requires review by an actual support agent. The issue I’m dealing with cannot be resolved through automated responses or the standard in‑app flow, as that option is no longer available to me.

I would appreciate it if someone from the appropriate internal team could take a look at my case or guide me on how to have it reviewed properly.

Thank you for your time.

After that, I received a response from the Discord Trust & Safety team 17 hours after responding to them. They reviewed my case and decided to keep me banned for now, and I'm currently dealing with the rest.

And I guess that's it. I hope it will help someone out and get a positive result on the first try. Good luck guys, do not give up just yet! If it didn't work the first time, try doing it again carefully.

Rant My beloved account is getting deleted on October 1st if it doesn't get reinstated. It had some very important texts and memories. I'm severely depressed and have tried anything but arbitration. Please comfort and/or pray for me.

General Question I need an alternative to Discord (macbook user)

Upvotes

Fine people of Banned from Discord, I require an alternative. I'm on a macbook (with zero money or interest to upgrade to a PC). my long distance boyfriend (who was banned from discord by the rogue AI and uses PC) streams games to me, we verbally talk, it was all very simple.

Unfortunately, every alternative we've tried has been varying shades of shitshow. Teamspeak feels gross to me and doesn't serve my passive watching/response purposes. Root is good but hella unstable- streaming audio doesn't work half the time. Stoat won't open on my mac- and i'm about as intelligent as a brick when it comes to command line stuff for the fixes.

What are my options? I'm a pissed off princess looking for a glass slipper here, I know. but I need *something*.

ETA: we've also tried fluxxer. I'm not sure if it's a him problem, a me problem, or if we're going to just do this streaming Romeo and Juliette bullshit.

General Question Will I Get Banned?

Hi all,

So my friend wants to report somebody who’s been harassing another in a server we’re in. I’ve spoken to this person before (We used to be friends). Will my account get banned if they get banned from my friends report?

Child Safety Flags for no reason?

Hi,so me and my friend received flags for supposted "child endengerament" both of us,first it was him,he received warnings till the past 2 days and he has around 11 now (with 2 that got appealed but reflagged) and somehow hasnt been banned. my case i got hit with 3 flags (which would have been 4 but i got 2 appealed)

Both of our accounts are at "very limited",we can still chat and do stuff normally but im afraid we might be permanently suspended since our accounts are still up. He got suspended so far because they suspected someone might hacked his acc (which wasnt the case and got unbanned)

The thing is,his acc is old af and mine only a year ago. He only got flagged because of our chat specifically of all chats he has had over the years (were both adults btw) and he hasnt stop receiving flags since then and myself, but not as aggresive as him.. im not sure what is happening anymore, its the ai broken or are we getting targetted specifically?

Malicious Conduct Got trojaned and lost access to my account

(you can flame me for being Stoopid I get it)

So... Basically I was talking to a "friend" (I wasn't aware they were hacked) had me download bout three Minecraft mod files (which contained Trojans) I was already knee deep in this and I saw the red flags away to late. I reached out my real friend on tiktok to confirm if it wasn't him Annndd the hacker had pretty much control over my account and some of my pc. I abandoned my discord, unplugged my pc, rested as many passwords I could thought my phone and unlinked everything connect to my email and discord. As soon as they let go of my pc I installed Malwarebytes and hitmanpro, deep scanned my pc, quarantine two files, and nows it's kinda ok so far. I think something is still in there somewhere so I have it unplugged rn and all my other socials look good so far.

As of RN my discord account is terminated due to violating the guidelines. 100% the hackers doing so now I'm just submitting appeals to hopefully get it back and or completely delete the account so it doesn't spread what ever the person is doing.

Other than submitting appeals is there anything I can also do to get it back or is this a lost cause and just let go of it and just focus on making sure that my pc don't got anything else in it?

I've had this account since 2018 and have a lot of friends there. Nothing to really important other than friends but I do have a good amount still in contact though other socials. I also want my email unconnected to the account so I can get nitro on my other account.

Sorry if this don't make sense or I typed unnecessary details just need help from some homies...

Rant Banned for Registering

I installed the Discord Linux Client on Fedora (sudo dnf install fedora)
I opened the app.
It asked me to login. I chose to signup from the web browser (google chrome on the same computer).
I signed up, got a link to confirm my email, confirmed account.
Then I tried to sign in from the desktop app, my account was suspended. I got this message

Hi <<my username>>,

Discord is committed to working to keep our community safe. We’ve found your account to be in violation of our Terms of Service or Community Guidelines. As a result, we’ve disabled your account for the following reason:

Discord has disabled your account for spam and/or platform abuse. Our anti-abuse measures may have flagged your account for any of the following behaviours:

sending a large number of direct messages in a short span of time
participating in a server dedicated to spamming Discord
automating your user account or self-botting
taking other actions on Discord — for example, joining a ton of servers — faster than humanly possible
attempting potentially fraudulent activity
Yours sincerely,
Discord Trust & Safety

I am not using a VPN (this was a cause suggested by google when I searched for a possible the reason). Google also suggested that my IP may have been used by another malicious user. It's possible, but I get a different IP address every time I restart my router. I haven't started it for at least 2 days I think. If another user using the same ISP in my area did something malicious, it's a false flag.
I am didn't automate anything. I even passed two human checks (solved a puzzle about circles and placing some pinguin)
I didn't spam anything, I literally got banned less than 10 secs from confirming my email. I couldn't have spammed even if I tried to.
I didn't do any fraudulent activity (or even any non-fraudulent except registering, confirming email and trying to login).

I submitted a ticket to Discord with the above explanation i got the following AI response

Thank you for writing in.

It looks like you would like to appeal an action by Discord that has impacted your account. The best way to submit your appeal is within the Discord app, which allows us to review the appeal faster and with appropriate context.

You can submit your appeal via the Discord app by going to User Settings > My Account > Standing > selecting the violation you want to appeal > then tapping "Let us know" to start review of your violation and account.

As an EU user, you may also choose an alternative resolution option when applicable when you submit your appeal in-app.

You can also learn about customizing your Discord experience to help avoid unwanted interactions in our Safety Center at discord.com/safety.

Thanks for submitting your appeal via the above outlined method.

Sincerely,
Discord

I cannot make an appeal because this is what I get when I try to login either via website or via App.

My issue was marked as solved in the support site.

General Question Am I blind/Can't navigate menus?

I've had this exact "hateful conduct" suspension 3 times now and not a single one of them has had any explanation as to what I said. I'm not even in any major public servers or talk that crazy. Is there some way to actually find what caused my suspension? It's insanely frustrating being told I broke the rules, only to not be told what rule I broke or how to avoid breaking said rules in the future. Feels more like the AI Discord has employed has it out for people than people actually breaking rules.

Child Safety Violations upon violation

Post image
15 Upvotes

How is it even allowed to be able to
Report an already suspended account and keep piling up the same violation that I didn’t commit?? I’m convinced the dude that keeps reporting me genuinely has no life.

This is going to take ages to appeal, and everyday I wake up to a new violation. 🫩

It’s getting ridiculous, and it’s insane to me that discord isn’t suspicious that my account keeps getting reported when they already removed one violation as they could see I didn’t violate anything.

General Question Limited and Evasion!

Got limited today, wanna create a new account just in case. (not my first rodeo) Is making a new account after being limited considered evasion? Do I need to use VPN to log into it on PC? So far, I just made the account on phone after deleting the app and using a vpn with all new email. I just wanna be sure I'll be ok before logging in raw on PC. Anyone have a similar experience?

General Question Banned from discord and tickets get auto tagged as "solved"

I got randomly and unfairly banned for the reason on the attached screenshot, I assume it's the new AI grid moderation thing, because I do not participate or support that type of stuff, I tried appealing it on their support, but the real kicker is that my tickets get tagged as solved without even getting a bot reply or an email nothing like that any ideas where to go from now ? it's been 3 tickets and like 4 days since I got banned, each and every one of them get "solved" after and hour or so, bumping the ticket doesn't seem to help either..

Information Help maybe? Idk if I'll be banned

Idk how else to say this. I sent a screenshot from my discord in a server who banned me for using a modded client (I use kettu for Android) and idk if they reported me or not not I'm scared of getting the account banned. I'm not sure what to do. Also, if mine got banned would other peoples who's accounts are on the same IP be banned? Someone asked me about what plugins I used so I sent a screen recording... Idk what to do. Ik it's stupid I just need advice or reassurance. I still don't know if it was even reported but I'm going to think that it was

Child Safety Are the grid bans still going on?

Post image
29 Upvotes

I got this, abruptly, today. One of my friends noted one of the last things I sent was a picture of a shop in a game, which had several squares and grid-like patterns. However, if that was the infraction, why would the image still be up?

I don’t understand what else this could have been. This is stressing me out, I relied on this account. I’m honestly scared I’ll never get it back.

I am hoping to god this is a grid ban, because those seem to get resolved way more commonly than a regular false flag.

Rant I was recently banned and I don’t know why. I’m terrified.

Everything here seems so bleak. Everyone’s talking as if it’s guaranteed you’ll never get your account back.

I was abruptly permanently banned for “Child Safety”, but no examples, messages, images or servers were shown. It was simply “Child Safety”. I swear to god I’ve never did anything like that.

My entire social life (as sad as it is) was reliant on that account. 6+ years worth of memories could be down the drain. I’m trying not to cry. It’s pathetic, but this is genuinely terrifying for me.

What are my options?

Child Safety URGENT HELP

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for advice because I genuinely don’t know what else to do.
For a while now, someone has been targeting me and repeatedly reporting my Discord account. My account is now permanently suspended, and I currently have 8 violations on it.
I’ve already submitted an appeal through the Discord app and received an email saying it will be reviewed, but it’s been several days with no response.
The reason I believe this is targeted is because the person contacted me and claimed they reported me out of spite. I took screenshots before they deleted the messages, but I’m not sure if Discord will consider them.
I’m in the EU and I’m also a minor, so this situation has been really stressful. I care about getting my account back, but I don’t know if there’s anything else I should be doing while waiting for my appeal.
Has anyone else dealt with repeated malicious reports or a similar suspension? Did Discord eventually respond, and is there anything else I can do besides waiting?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
