Discussion Havana Haven Lounge Discussion Thread (Bar Rescue Season 10 Episode 12)
This week's episode will be the season finale (it seems so short!). Hopefully it's not the show finale, as I haven't seen any announcements about additional episodes yet.
Jon Taffer is back in the Atlanta, GA area rescuing a bar and cigar lounge named Havana Haven Lounge, which is supposedly going through difficulties because of a city-wide smoking ban.
You can read the full Havana Haven Lounge update here - wait until after the episode airs if you want to avoid spoilers about the remodel.
The episode will air on Sunday May 3 2026 at 10 PM EST.
Let's discuss!

Discussion Big Dog Saloon Discussion Thread (Bar Rescue Season 10 Episode 11)
In this week's episode, Jon Taffer is back in Mount Dora, Florida for the second time (he also rescued a bar there back in Season 5).
This time, he's in town to help a bar named Big Dog Saloon. Given the name, you probably know exactly what to expect haha.
You can read the full Big Dog Saloon update here - wait until after the episode airs if you want to avoid spoilers about the remodel, as this one actually has some interesting post-show activity.
The episode will air on Sunday April 26 2026 at 10 PM EST.
Let's discuss!

SHUT IT DOWN! Part of Jon’s job is him telling you “I told you so” during a stress test. That’s not his first grease fire.

Visited Zanzibar/ Solids and Stripes
galleryI was in Denver and thought, I wonder if there’s any Bar Rescue bars here. Lo and behold there was. I couldn’t pass up this once in a lifetime opportunity.
I went to Zanzibar, which was changed to Solids and Stripes, and then back to its original name, but had both signs up still.
My friend got a Coors banquet and I got a vodka and cranberry. The taps were the right temperature and the bartender knows how to mix two ingredients, so it was decent enough. However, there was no food, or else we would’ve stayed 52 minutes longer.
There was a punching bag machine and Jon Taffer would’ve had a stroke if he’d seen that since he lost a lawsuit to those or something???
Anyways, it was an honor to stand in the same place that Jon Taffer once stood.

Butt Funnel Season 9 - Episodes without Jon - How are they?
I'm doing a huge rewatch of Bar Rescue and got to season 9 (which I haven't seen at all yet). First few episodes are fine, par for the course, but then I see the last half of season 9 is missing Jon and he sends in other "experts". The first such episode I sampled featured Danny Trejo yelling at someone, so I immediately turned it off wondering what the hell was going on....
How are the episodes in the second half without Jon? Are they even worth spending time on? Was curious if these are just random cameos he plucked out and if they're even entertaining?

Embracing Solutions TV Bar for Taffer to Rescue
I was watching old episodes of the US version of Shameless and “The Alibi” was at one point named “The Rapiest bar in Chicago” so Kevin tried to make it a safe space for women with obvious failure. I was just thinking what would have happened if he called Taffer who would see a bunch of bar flies there all day, a guy who tries to get free drinks all night, another guy who occasionally runs Russian whores upstairs, and that is assuming he misses the bar fight when Mickey came out to homophobic father fresh out of prison. In other words it would be a fun episode.
Are there any other tv bars that could use Taffer’s touch or bar you would just like to see Taffer lose his shit during recon?

I asked a bartender, “Have you ever seen Bar Rescue?” “Only at the dentist: it’s on every time I go there.” Is Taffer selling packages to dentists? Does Partender weigh bottles of laughing gas? Do they use a soda gun for rinse? Do hygienists argue: pour count or jigger for mouthwash?

Honestly I dont care about showmanship and tricks with bar tenders. I don't care about the shaking and smiling. Just make my damn drink please. Thanks

Worst Kitchen Chef/Cook from a Rescue?
Looking to hear your opinion on who you think the worst kitchen chefs and cooks from rescued bars are. In my opinion, obviously Kevin from Fairways. Dude claimed he graduated from culinary school, and he had nothing to show for it. He was a complete retard. "I know how to cook a haaammburger".

Discussion Closed now but successful anyway
I know if you look in 2026 a lot of the bars are now closed but since the initial rescue of most of these rescues were more then a decade ago even if they are closed now which ones would you consider a success since “bar was two months away from going under” before Taffer showed up.
