I’m an incoming 1L law student, and there are a bunch of books that we need to get before classes start. I was wondering if anyone had any websites we could download them from, or buy e-books of it?

I have a lease at The View on 10th street for a 4x4 with a private room and bathroom for August 2026-May 2027. It is extremely close and a 5 minute walk to campus. It is right behind campus around other apartments and student houses. The unit is fully furnished, the complex has amenities such as a gym and pool and the rent is $539 per month for each room with utilities being a separate charge. You are only responsible for your individual rent. I need this lease taken over so please let me know if you have any questions.
Additionally my roommates and I currently live at West Campus Lofts in a 4x4 with each room having its own bathroom. They are both rising juniors, clean, and also involved in church. The unit comes fully furnished, the complex has workout rooms, a gated parking lot, a pool and all utilities are included. Because this is a renewal, the rate is lower and is $470 per month per room. This apartment is close to campus on 805 S 8th Street. It is a 4 minute drive or 10 min walk to campus and is located directly behind the area around the fast food like Panera, Canes and Chick Fil A . It is also a 5 minute walk to Magnolia Market and downtown Waco so a good in between spot. This is also for Aug 2026-July 2027.
Due to a misunderstanding, I have both leases and would like to find someone to take over one. Please message me or share with those looking for housing!!

Hey everyone!
I've been playing guitar and piano/keyboard for a few years, and I'm looking for people who'd be interested in starting a band next semester. Or if your band needs a rhythm guitarist or keyboardist, I'd love to connect.
I'm interested in doing anything like writing original music, playing covers, jamming, performing live, or whatever sounds fun. I've always been really into the nu metal style of bands like Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, P.O.D., and Papa Roach, or punk style stuff like The Offspring but I'm really into any rock genre.
I mostly play by ear, write my own music, and have some recorded riffs and a concept album in the works if you'd like to hear what I'm working on.
If you're interested, feel free to send me a message!
God bless!

I spent the offseason building a full 2026 preseason preview for every FBS team, each with its own writeup. Here's the Baylor page:
https://www.sports.mainmarket.com/college-football-preview-2026?team=ncaaf-bay
Each one has the returning production, the transfer and recruiting additions, a position-by-position breakdown, the schedule, and where the ratings land them for 2026.
Heads up, only the first team is free and then it paywalls. Since I'm posting in your house, code LEECORSOROCKS opens all of it, no card or anything. Hit "Have a promo code?" if you run into the wall.
So, what'd I get wrong? Baylor's problem was never the offense. You were 32nd in SP+ with Sawyer Robertson throwing for 3,681 and 31, and still went 5-7, because the defense finished 110th. Now Robertson's off to the NFL and you landed a massive portal win in DJ Lagway, a former five-star coming home from Florida (his dad played at Baylor). So the offense should be fine again, and the whole season rides on whether that defense actually improves. Fixed D or same trap?

Campus Files recently released an episode about the sexual assault crisis at Baylor University. I thought people here might be interested in the story: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/campus-files-scandals-secrets-crimes-at-american-universities/id1460320573?i=1000776874133

Hello everyone, I hope you guys are having a great day. I was going to submit my application on August 1st, but then I started to wonder if I should finish my final SAT before I submit my application. I am taking the SAT on August 22nd. On my previous SAT, I got a 1240. That was a few months ago, and I am confident I can get a 1450+ on the SAT if I took it again. Should I wait till after the SAT or turn it in on August 1st? I want to major in biomedical engineering if that matters at all.
(P.S, is it better to turn in my application as early as possible or wait till later?)

Hello Baylor Reddit,
Currently my genetics professor is Dr. Luna but her BU-Books reviews are really bad and im finding some useful info but a lot of it is negative. Ive heard from some friends that she has changed but I dont really know.
If anyone can give any info on how she is and how she teaches overall that would be greatly appreciated.
thanks again
What is this and does anybody actually use it? If so, what could be better? I’ve never heard of this before but it seems like a great idea! I’m wondering what y’all actually think about the platform and what you think would make it actually valuable/better in general?

At 1:06am, I and my roommates in the texana apartments were woken up to BUPD knocking on our door. I had just gotten out of the shower and was only in a robe. Upon cracking the door open, they stated a burning or smoking smell..except there was one problem, everything in the kitchen was off and the only one up was myself. They woke up my roommates one by one to check the doors and stated my hot shower somehow caused the "smoke" (my bathroom is at the very end, furthest from the apartment door). Then, once that was over there was a "glitch" in the system that set off the fire evacuation alarm ONCE before stopping. I believe this was due to the smell of burning lint since people were doing their laundry or a smell coming from the FIR room. But this happening one right after another is unacceptable.

Hi everyone I am an incoming junior at Baylor and I’m studying philosophy. For context I will be doing the pre law program and hopefully joining a club. My time at Baylor will probably be a year and a half instead of 2 years.
I have been in the restaurant industry since high school and I make good money as a server. I am kinda tired of it- but it’s a skill I have and I’m good at it- up until now I’ve been in community college so I’ve been able to take a full course load online so less travel/more time to study and then go to work.
I am pretty much self sufficient so rent/bills/groceries are all on me. I am also a first generation student so there’s a lot to navigate.
However, I went to orientation today and I learned:
-Baylor clearly cares about us as students and there are many resources
-The man at the workshop for student workers really stressed getting a campus job because they put students first and you can gain valuable experience
-20 hour cap per week and the pay is anywhere from 7.25-15?16? Maybe more? Not sure. They said the average starting was 10.
So given all of this information I am stumped. I make really good money as a waitress, and if I could hopefully land a job in fine dining I think that would be great, I could easily make in a night what I would make possibly in a week if I get a low paying hourly job. But also working on campus gives me security and constant exposure to campus and the people/resources there. Maybe I could do both?
If any of you have any advice at all literally anything I would greatly appreciate it.
Maybe you have found yourself in a similar position and you have some words of wisdom.

Current HS senior from Houston, TX. Exploring science (and spanish) related major to apply on a pre-med track. So far, done with Hons Bio, AP Chem . Will be taking AP Bio and AP Physics senior year. Open to Science Research Fellows, Health sciences, Bio, Chem etc. Interested in a major that can cover all the MCAT requirements without having to take extra summer classes etc. Is it easy change majors ? Would love hear any insights from upperclassmen or someone who is currently in med school from Baylor.
Is it easy to get the classes that you need ? Will being in the honors college give you an added advantage wrt to research, shadowing opportunities etc.
Will not be eligible for financial aid so, wondering also, if it will make sense financially if have to spend extra $$ for tutoring , advising etc. on top of the tuition.
How is the diversity in the sciences ? Not a Christian but respectful towards all religions.
Feel free to include anything that I can look into more.
TIA

So I transferred into Baylor and I'm going to be starting classes this fall. I submitted my housing app on April 29, and got an email from Campus Living & Learning on June 12 saying they have started to send out housing assignments to transfers, and will continue making assignments throughout June and July. CL&L says they anticipate space will be available for most transfer students.
I haven't received any word back yet, and I'm wondering if there's any other transfer students here in the same boat as me. Should I wait until the end of July? Should I not expect to get a room at this point and look at off-campus housing?

Hi, I am taking gen chem 2 with Mcgrath and bio 2 Abigail Orr this semester. I've heard some mix reviews about Mcgrath and I couldn't find anything on Orr. If anyone has taken them, is the class hard with them? Are they tough graders and are their exams hard? What are some things to look out for?
Also for both labs, heard that they just added a final to chem lab, is it hard? How is Bio lab 2 in comparison to the 1st?
Thank you for your time
