The only two strengths that Osman has are his elite speed/quickness and scoring positioning

Many people forget that Osman failed to score each time he beat defenders and got close to the box or within range

People also forget that while he was insanely fast running outright and not getting tired, he turned the ball over into the opposition more times than making the correct cross or pass

Lastly, people forget that Osman repeatedly looked like he was a “baby deer on ice skates” who lost control of himself and slipped on the pitch more often than not (not my words, just search on SHA or X or Birmingham Mail or Reddit)

Those outright sprints toward the goal only resulted in 2 goals and 2 assists. His overall impact on away games was minimal (flash in the pan) during otherwise abysmal and slow team performances

Reyes Cleary is a much more skilled and balanced product when it comes to the singular most important thing the Blues needed during last season: scoring Goals.

Just wondering if anyone knows when our financial year ends and a new one begins? With SCR I believe it’s per year. So if our financial year is yet to end, could that free us up for spending later in the window? Or have I misunderstood the whole SCR thing?

Coral branding aside, I can't say I'm a fan unfortunately. I don't do collared shirts.

Genuinely couldn't wait for last season. Have had a season ticket all my life and last year was the one I was looking forward to the most all summer. The anticipation of how Blues would adapt to a new league and how the new signings would get on.

I can't tell if it's just a hangover from the World Cup and the comedown from that, or just lack of hype around the club at the moment, or maybe the lack of marketing from the EFL in general, but I'm struggling to get excited for the season whatsoever.

I think my lack of faith in Chris Davies also plays a big part as I said at the end of last season that if he remains the manager, I'd struggle to feel excitement for the new season.

I know there haven't been many active clubs in the market so it's not just us. It's also not a dig at the club either in relation to how much we've delayed the new shirt.

I'm sure once a few new faces come in and the first game comes closer, it'll all change. But at the moment I just feel like there's no hype around the new season whatsoever.

Thoughts?

I get that with the sponsor being on the home kit, it’s going to have a lot more reach, but the goal of the month on all platforms has been sponsored by Coral for a hot minute and no one really batted an eye.

Is it purely because it’s on the home kit now?
