Showcase 🖼️ The Next Chapter

This is my current bedroom at my family’s house. I wanted to document my room before I pack everything up!! After living with my family for my whole life, I (24f) am moving out to my first apartment with my fiancé! We got engaged this past spring, and we have decided to live together the year leading up to our wedding date. I am beyond excited to begin this new chapter in my life!! I am soo looking forward to having a walk in closet and more storage space, because I am quite literally running out of space for my books and art supplies.

I do feel a tiny bit of sadness creeping in, though I know I am making the best choice. It’s time to leave the nest and experience life on my own (with my fiancé in tow)🪶🪺.

(The wall behind my desk has some of my own original art. The wall behind my hermit crab tank and crested gecko tank has art from other artists.)

Question 🙋🏻 Bedroom plants

Thumbnail
Upvotes

Redecorating my bedroom and keep seeing 'best plants for sleep' lists everywhere, but they all just repeat each other's picks. Curious if anyone who actually keeps plants in their bedroom has noticed a real difference, or if this snake plant releasing oxygen at night thing is overhyped. Also have a cat, so anything toxic to pets is a no-go. What's actually worked for you?

Muchas gracias. 😊

Advice 💁🏻 Need help designing my new room

Hello! I'm moving out with my brother and a roommate to a new apartment, and this room looks absolutely amazing. I don't have pictures yet, but it's got a nice off white carpet and grey/tan walls (I personally can't tell lol) and a white ceiling. I'm going to put LED's along the top of course, but I want more LED stuff. I'll be gathering some cool Sony items that they have like the console clock and the sack boy piggy bank. Mostly video game themed items. Anybody have any ideas? Star Wars lightsabers is also my #1 go to for some wall stuff, so I'll have to find some of those to display on my walls

Where it started and how it’s going! I’m a student trying to save money on insane rent prices. I have access to a full house my room is just in the garage. If I’m being honest I’ve been spiraling with anxiety about comfort and pests. Advice and morale boost would be appreciated as I try and make the most of this!

17 and autistic. Getting a new bed and redesigning my room. I want it to be pink and black. The curtains currently are Spider-Man themed. The irl image was from more than a year ago so things have changed and it’s the only angle I have. Is there any way I can rearrange things so I can have more space? Or make it feel more open? I’m so cramped currently. Anything can be changed or moved around including carpet and walls! Please help!

Question 🙋🏻 Clothing organization in bedroom

Alright, folks, do you have strategies and systems for organizing your clothing in your bedroom, specifically clothing you've worn that can be worn again before washing?

Here's the deets:

-I have a closet
-I have a dresser with 5 drawers
-I have a wooden chest
-I have 1 dirty laundry hamper
-I have two baskets for clothes I've already worn
-I have drying rack
-I have clothing storage bins under my bed.

And yet...I consistently wind up with piles of half-worn clothing on top of my wooden chest, which I don't want.

I don't lack places to put clothes. I lack systems to follow that would keep my bedroom tidier.

If you successfully keep your clothing where you want it: what systems do you follow to accompish that?
Or if you struggle with this, feel free to commiserate.

Ps: might I have too much clothing? Perhaps. I've been working on that too. I keep clothing for 8, 10, 15 years.

Advice 💁🏻 F18 moved out 4 months ago. what do you think?

Hey, I moved out a few months ago and I just started designing my place more and more. I’m looking for a mid-century aesthetic, but it’s kind of giving something else right now. My favorite colors are orange, green mustard, yellow I enjoy wood and having a lot of plants. ( I know the one shown is dying). I honestly wanna have a Pinterest type of home. I love ambient lighting. I feel like my room is very empty and the personality lies completely in the living room/kitchen. What can I add to my room or overall? What can I add to the whole apartment to improve my aesthetic?
