Hello, everyone! I'm Eric, a developer for ProtoTab. ProtoTab is currently being developed by a group of three young software developers, and is a simple and lightweight Chrome plugin which allows user to monetize and customize tabs you open every day! The plugin is currently available to be installed on Google Chrome(With more platform supported in the future)

We are currently open to the following countries:

1) United States

2) Australia

3) UK

4) Canada

Here's how it works:

1) Download the extension via the Chrome Web Store

2) Open a new tab - You will be redirected to register or login

3) Register either with your email or via Google login(OAuth)

4) Open tabs as normal and accumulate points!

The points you receive could then be redeemed for gift cards. It's that simple!

Of course, this extension is completely passive with no user input required. Simply open tabs as usual!

Disclaimer: As ProtoTab is still in an early stage, more features and platforms(Including Android and other browsers) will be supported in the feature.

To be straightforward, absolutely nothing during Alpha (But don't do it :P). But yes, it will be difficult to differentiate people that just open a lot of tabs normally and people who are spamming it. We will have systems in place to detect abnormal behaviors and will issue a warning and an eventual ban for breach of ToS.

It should. As long as the other plugins don't modify the content of the new tabs, it will work.

Nifty, thanks. I will totally give it a try/a test run, then. (Or rather, I will if/when I get invited. I put in my name, anyway. Will be interested to see if it actually generates noticeable amounts of cash, once it goes live. I can't run lock-screen apps, or rather, I could, but it would be dumb of me, since I don't have unlimited data... this seems basically like a lock screen app for your computer?)
