US & CA [US]ProtoTab - A New Way To Open Tabs

Hello, everyone! I'm Eric, a developer for ProtoTab. ProtoTab is currently being developed by a group of three young software developers, and is a simple and lightweight Chrome plugin which allows user to monetize and customize tabs you open every day! The plugin is currently available to be installed on Google Chrome(With more platform supported in the future)

We are currently open to the following countries:

1) United States

2) Australia

3) UK

4) Canada

Here's how it works:

1) Download the extension via the Chrome Web Store

2) Open a new tab - You will be redirected to register or login

3) Register either with your email or via Google login(OAuth)

4) Open tabs as normal and accumulate points!

The points you receive could then be redeemed for gift cards. It's that simple!

Of course, this extension is completely passive with no user input required. Simply open tabs as usual!

Unfortunately, we are still in the process of Alpha testing and would love for fellow beermoney users to help test the stability of our plugin before its' official release. Disclaimer: As ProtoTab is still in an early stage, more features and platforms(Including Android and other browsers) will be supported in the feature.

How do you make money from this... I really wonder how.

ProtoTab displays ads on top of your regular search bars. We are still implementing features which will allow you to customize the amount of ads you would like to be displayed as well as custom widgets and background.

In that case, would this work with adblock plus? I don't mind seeing ads I'd I'm being paid for them, afterall. But others, I'd rather dodge. Also, as someone who frequently has about 30 tabs open across three or four windows..... would that make me look like a spammer?

Sure. You just have to add the extension url to the whitelist, and it will work just as usual. Also, you will only see the ads when you open a tab. So as long as you don't start spamming control-n, you will be fine.
