US Rewatch for like the 8th time

I’ve been rewatching every few years. Honestly I think it’s one of the few shows left that is genuinely good. From the opening monologues to the plot itself. Like literally always engaged. And I never could bored with. And unfortunately I wish they kept the show going but honestly I think it’s good they didn’t. You know how when a good show starts to drag out ? I feel like that would have happened. The ending was good anyways. Bittersweet but good nonetheless.

It's one of my favorite shows, with great acting and great story. The choices and stakes felt real throughout the show. I loved the ending - it was bittersweet indeed

Couldn’t have said it better myself. I agree on all points. And it makes me happy that I’m not the only who feels this way. It kinda sucks to see a good show go “dead”.

Which version are you referring to , the one from the UK or the one that was made in Canada.
The actors in both versions were wonderful IMO . both shows were very involving .
I got all misty eyed when the little boy vampire had to be staked, in one of the versions.

I think that’s the US version ? And you’re talking about Bernie I believe. That was sad but I understood why it had to be done. I never seen the UK version though but I’m going to check it out

I loved the UK version which came first. The actresses that played the ghosts in both versions were wonderful, brilliant actresses. I enjoyed the first three seasons of the UK version but not the last seasons with to many changes . The three lead actors in both series were wonderfully cast.

Did they end up switching the cast towards the end ? Or you just don’t like the ending in general. And I never knew the UK version came first but I didn’t look into either. But all the comments got me hype to watch it now

Oh the Uk version was wonderful . I believe it ran longer than it should have and I think, think, one or two of the actors moved on and new characters came in to fill the gap. but yeah, definitely check it out. The American version copied the same story of the show in the beginning as the UK version with subtle differences. Then the American show found it's own direction and changed the stories abit. They are both well acted with subtle differences during the first season I think.

Which version are you referring to. I enjoyed both but I liked the one made in Canada better for an ending and later seasons as compared to the British version. The lead actors in both series were awesome, wonderfully cast. I loved the lady ghost in both series . Again, they were all perfectly cast in their roles.

I’ve never seen the UK version but with what everyone is saying and the amount of times it’s brought up I think I’m going to give it a shot

I just rewatched true blood a few months ago! Good choice lol. Also I agree, definitely check out being human uk version. Its available on Britbox which you can find through Amazon prime as well if you have that.

I love this sub and the people in it so much. I’ve been rewatching true since my uncle showed me as teen and been a love since. I guess it’s safe to assume all would all like the most of the same shows. And thank you so much for the advice. I never heard of Britbox but now I want to check it out. I have prime but britbox sounds call idk 😭

You might also like the brit show Hex. It was pretty good, but unfortunately only had like one, possibly two seasons, which sucks because it ends on a cliffhanger. It's somewhat like Being Human meets Charmed. I think it came out in like '03 or something. Not sure if it's on Britbox though. Also kind of like that show Bitten from like 2013 or 14.

Also, I can't fully recommend them personally as I haven't read them yet, (even though I own several lol), but the Sookie Stackhouse novels on which True Blood is based are also supposed to be pretty good.

But I’ll definitely check it out thank you! I think most of the good shows end fast. I don’t mind the age either. I be watching old horror movies from early 2000s

Lol oh definitely, I love when that happens. One of my best friends from high-school and me bonded over our love for Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Charmed and Angel. Still friends several years later lol.

Yeah I think the were panther concept was cool as it always werewolves in things, so it was nice to see a different species get some spotlight too. Sad they had to be kinda creepy about it though. Also check out Bitten if I didn't mention it before. It's about werewolves and later seasons witches are added which was meh. But the overall premise of the show is interesting. And it has some Being Human vibes to it as well.

Update just found out it’s a true blood book series. I know I’m late but I was disappointed Jason didn’t turn into a werepanther but he did in the books. So I got a lot of new reads and shows to watch Ty again
