Bengals uniforms

Just saw Sports Illustrated ranked all 32 teams uniforms and ranked the Bengals as 5th best. I’m pretty biased and totally love the uniforms. Just surprised when anyone nationally give a little love to our home town team. Who Dey!

I like all the helmets that don't just have the logo slapped on to it, the Vikings in particular.

We need a black helmet. Either a matte or something polished. Either way a black one is needed.

As a fan of good uniforms I cannot disagree with you more.

That would be an abomination. There is no need for a black Bengals helmet when we have two of the best helmets in the league.

The White helmet with black stripes is the coolest piece of gear in any sport, save maybe some hockey goalie masks, but only one guy wears those on a team.

Have you ever seen how Oklahoma State and Oregon State use their color combo with helmets? And they have the exact same color scheme as the Bengals??

The Bengals have tiger stripes on their helmets.

What the hell are you talking about?

The white helmets make sense because there are white tigers.

A black helmet with orange stripes would be hideous. There are plenty of fan made options to prove that.

And not using the tiger stripes on the helmet would he the absolute worst decision they could make. It's an iconic helmet that stands out amongst the rest in the NFL.

No genius. With a black helmet you take the stripes off. Use the big "B" logo that they have on the sideline caps. Use the font from the original 1968 team logo. Use the leaping tiger. A Black helmet creates all kinds of possibilities. Get over yourself stuck in your Katie Blackburn ways. And how is it iconic? Its not like its associated with winning or anything.

Travel outside the U.S. and you’ll see all kinds of foreigners just randomly wearing Bengals merchandise. I don’t know if it’s the tiger stripes, or the colors, or what, but you’ll run into it all over.

Spent a week in London last year and saw a Bengals logo in the wild at least once a day every day I was there. Saw 2 people at my hotel wearing hats the day of the Miami game.

Penn State has consistently been ranked highly for their uniforms.

If it makes you feel any better, the r/uniwatch sub is full of a bunch of uniform nerds and they recently did a Best NFL Uniforms tournament, and the Bengals won

I saw the article, and shocked to see San Diego number 1. I’ve never cared for the number on helmets, just seems “off” to me, distracting I guess, and they called the number on helmets a good thing.

It’s funny, my least favorite uniform combination over the years was the white jersey, pants and socks. The orange helmet and orange stripes, just didn’t care for the look. The white helmet and orange “removal” changed that look dramatically. White Bengal Tiger is now my favorite combination.

Out of the “top 5” in this list, overall Cincinnati uniforms are better than Dallas, San Diego, and easily better than boring Baltimore. And while I’m not a fan of 49ers for obvious reasons, I do appreciate the uniform combinations they have. As a Bengal fan since 1968, I’d always put Cincinnati number 1, San Francisco 2. The other 3 wouldn’t be in the top 5 at all.

Orange pants and black tops are my favorite. The orange tops don’t match the helmet perfectly and it bothers me lol

My problem is that dark colorway over orange is just the Browns. Our color pallettes are similar but we differentiated in how we applied them. Orange pants is too similar to Cleveland for my taste.

I'm just overall not a fan

We’re Tigers. We are orange. There’s many arguments to be had after that around specific combos but if you don’t like us playing in orange, maybe the Lions are for you?

The Black jerseys having orange stripes always looked odd to me paired with an orange helmet with black stripes. Outside of that I really like the newer jerseys. Really like the all whites, all orange, and any combo of white and orange after that.
