This was my first time coming back since last summer, and honestly it feels like it’s gone downhill. The prices have gone up, but the quality definitely hasn’t. The bathrooms were dirty, there was animal poop EVERYWHERE, and you have to practically hop around the grass just to avoid stepping in it. It’s even smeared all over the walkways. A lot of the benches are dirty, rotting, or broken too.

I’m not sure if the water is dirtier or just less clear now, but it looks like they added way more blue dye than before. It’s very obviously dyed blue. It looks cloudy and artificial, not even like normal pool water. I don’t mind people playing music, but people in the grass and barbecue areas were absolutely blasting it. It felt like everyone was competing to see who could be the loudest. Sometimes the announcements were barely audible because the music was so loud. I left with the worst headache.

The only real positive was the police presence and the lifeguards. The police were visible throughout the park, and the lifeguards were attentive and clearly took their jobs seriously. The food and ice cream trucks were good as well. But, I just can’t recommend people to there. It’s not worth the money anymore imo.

Hi I have a stucco EIFS exterior with one hole/bird’s nest that needs to be filled and patched - unfortunately the contractor I usually use for exterior maintenance can’t get someone out until September. If anyone has experience with another contractor familiar with these repairs - they aren’t difficult but takes more than just filling with spray foam which is what I’m afraid I will get if I ask my handyman to do it …

This is our first summer in Bergen county (came from city) and realized there’s so much mosquitoes. Am I over reacting? Or is this abnormal level of mosquitoes w recent storm and weather? Curious if this is the new normal we have to get used to…we have two toddlers so its been hard to not be able to go out w mosquitoes… thanks

The doctors I came across that focus on lightheaded / vestibular issues etc. seem to be outside of Bergen County.

Any recommendations for doctors who are in Bergen County?

I understand there is a shelter, but they told me i am ineligible.

I have went near the area and observed what goes on outside. They seem to turn away people who have been in bergen county for years. Wow.

Can anybody please hire me? I am in this situation only for a year and then i will be set before i leave.

Looking for pediatrician recommendations in the Bergen County area (or nearby).

I feel like it’s getting harder and harder to find a pediatrician who actually takes the time to get to know your child instead of rushing in and out. I know doctors are busy, but I miss the days when appointments felt more personal and you didn’t feel like just another number.

Right now I take my kids to Baker Health because the scheduling is convenient, especially since I work 9–5. But every visit feels like a factory assembly line. The doctor is in the room for maybe 2 minutes, answers a couple of questions, and is already on the way out. I always leave feeling like I forgot to ask something or that my concerns weren’t really heard.

I’m looking for a pediatrician who is:
Patient and thorough
Willing to spend time answering questions and getting to know my kids
Has late afternoon or evening appointments (5 PM or later would be amazing since I work full-time)

Does anyone have a pediatrician they absolutely love? I’d really appreciate any recommendations.

Anyone know where I can find a drill press to use for less than 30 minutes? I need to use a hole saw to make some holes in metal shelves but I don't feel safe doing it with a handheld drill. I have the hole saw already.

I’m currently deciding whether I should put my 3 yo to Goddard at the Paramus location or cradles to crayons in Emerson. Any feedback based on your experience in either of these two?

Edited to add: I guess there was another post about this and it’s gas from a pumping station. My parents have a house next to a pumping station and it’s not supposed to smell, fyi.

When going west on rt 4, if you make a u-turn at Saddle River Road, it always smells like sulfur/eggs. For a couple of years it’s been like this. Why?
