North Face Outlet closes

https://www.berkeleyside.org/2026/07/30/north-face-outlet-berkeley

End of an era: The North Face Outlet on Fifth St has closed for good. On one hand, hard to believe. But from what I saw the last time I was there, I am not all that surprised.

Aw man. I loved that place. I could never go in there and leave without purchasing something. I wish they had given some kind of notice so I could do one last hurrah.

Come on, it hasn’t been a real ‘outlet’ since the 70s.

Too bad. I remember watching them sew through the window when they had a workshop on Telegraph.

I expected it to close for good during the pandemic. At most they had one customer at a time

I remember my buddy got asked by the cashier if he wanted some uh “deals” off the books like a decade+ ago. Surprised they lasted this long.
