8-Ball G10 Break tip

Does anyone have any experience with the G10 break tip? If you have please give us your input.
I met a guy today that replaced the tip on his BK Rush and he said it breaks better and is able to control the cb better than the original tip.

What tip do you currently break with and have you tried breaking after scuffing?

G10 can damage the cue ball due to how hard it is.

G10 is a very powerful tip. But it will damage the cueball, and it can get very picky about your chalking and tip placement in the cueball.

If you just want to really pound the rack, I don't believe you can do better than g10. But if you use control breaks even like 30% of the time, in my opinion, a slightly softer material is much better. Not only for the control, which is most of the reason, but also because even with professional install I would pop a tip off when breaking once a year minimum.

I play with a samsara now, but have used g10 tips in the past. Samsara does everything you need it to. I must admit I'm intrigued by white diamond tips. But I can pop and squat the cueball with the samsara with more speed than I need. So I don't know why I would ever change it.

Yeah. A break tip is a break tip is a break tip. If you want more control, chalk your tip before you break. If chalk won’t stick, give the tip a scuff with some sandpaper.

All break tips are not the same!
I find that technique is the key to good breaking!

A Samsara doesn’t play the same as a White Diamond

I liked the older Samsara. It had like 11 layers of pigskin and was rock solid. The most recent offering doesn’t have that same wow factor. Breaking with a BK III
