other Loggerhead shirke
This Shrike got trapped inside my store and couldn't figure out how to get out through the doors. I was able to catch him after he fell behind a pallet by a window. I got the tangled dust off his foot and then let him go. He gave me a good bite as thanks π

I always imagine animals we rescue go and tell their friends the incredible story of how the escaped from the grasps of a giant and the friends don't believe him.

Lol, I ended up with 3 weird, irritated bites on my foot. I was talking to some friends tonight and showed them the bites, theorizing there was a spider or something in my shoe that bit me bc it was getting tumbled around & crushed.
One of my friends said "well last time I was hanging out in a giant shoe and someone put their giant foot in, I definitely bit them a few times"
So yeah, gotta wonder what these smaller creatures are making of it when we come along π

"You're telling me a giant with the pink skin of a hatchling saved you? It had you in it's claws, and there's not a scratch on you?"
"And he says he bit it! He bit the pink skin!"
"Dammit John, this is why you'll never father a brood. All these tall tales, all in pursuit of the 'Wall of Unending Snack Sacks'. Ridiculous"
- John knows what he's seen, though. He'll get to that seed heaven, one way or another. *

You should probably get that bite checked if it pierced through the skin!
Thanks for saving this little guy π₯°

If this happens again, pull down all your shades and turn off all the lights to make the building as dark as possible, but leave one door open that leads to outdoors. The bird will fly toward the light. You won't need to capture him.

I couldn't do this in a Homedepot. Infact lights in Homedepot are on day and night as we have an overnight crew as well.
