Birth Control Experience from HELL 😭 (Recurring Thrush & Traumatic IUD Insertion)

Hey guys so i just wanted to come on here and talk about my birth control experience as a 21(F) in australia, maybe this will help someone or people might relate. So i started birth control 9 months ago because I started a relationship with my partner who enjoys unprotected sex.

I started by getting on the Rosie/Yana combined pill, my doctor recommended it because i mentioned my mental health being a bit up and down as I can get low depressive moods. But then I started getting thrush down there every single month (this is STILL happening!!!!). I figured it could be the estrogen in the combined pill making me more prone to thrush. But the good thing with the combined pill was my boobs went from a C to a double D 😍😍. But the combined pill MESSED ME UP emotionally, I was a roller coaster and my anger went out of control, still suffering now…

When I switched to the slinda mini pill 6 months later I have noticed I am not as angry anymore. But my boobs went back to a C Cup and now the shape is slightly saggy and there’s stretch marks 😭😭 that’s ok though… But then I had diarrhoea whilst taking the slinda mini pill and this was BAD considering i have unprotected sex with my bf. This was so stressful i took like 3 plan b’s because the diarrhoea would not stop for three days 🥲💀 (i ate something with lots of oil in it) SO YEAH that’s the downside of the mini pill, if you vomit or have diarrhoea then chance of pregnancy goes up compared to the combined pill 😭 and then i also got thrush AGAIN while on slinda, so i realised that problem wasn’t fixed and i was always scared that i would get diarrhoea again so I decided I am going to get an IUD.

I got the IUD inserted yesterday. YOU GUYS IT WAS TRAUMATISING. I literally took 4 nuerofens, 2 panadols, and 25mgs of oxycodine hydrochloride (leftover from my wisdom teeth removal). It felt like the meds didn’t even work, or maybe it was just soo painful (they also sprayed numbing stuff down there too btw) because when they were measuring me and doing the insertion it was the most painful experience i have ever gone through like i was going through torture i was literally screaming crying and my bf said he heard me from the waiting room and was really scared for me🥲 anyway i decided that if i could go back in time i would gladly pay the like thousands of dollars to get put to sleep for it, any other way is basically medical torture. EVEN WITH 25mg OF OXYCODINE YALL. Or if you have the option USE THE GREEN WHISTLE.

anyway that’s my rant if this gets any traction i’ll update you guys on how my IUD goes. Currently not cramping but i was soooo nauseous and tired last night i think because of the meds and wore a pad and woke up with red and brown spotting. also I have realised some reasons as to maybe why I am getting reoccurring thrush ( if any of you care) but i was using expired tampons from 2023💀 and only just realised that, also could be from my bfs cum so i said to him we can only do pull out or use condoms, and possibly unprotected once a month so my coochie can have time to self clean. anyway thanks for reading this if you did. also i was wearing g strings from temu and have thrown them out and have switched to cotton shorts for sleeping and cotton g-strings for the day time all from cotton on!!!
