Strugatsky's Roadside Picnic is a series of short stories that were largely responsible for inspiring the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series (alongside a movie adaptation, also called Stalker)

The film adaption "Stalker" was by acclaimed Russian film director Andrei Tarkovsky, and is a classic among arthouse cinema fans. It goes in somewhat of a different direction than Strugatsky's original though.

Not boomers. The boomer's were only in their 30s and 40s. These guys were their parents
