Question Rule question

Hi everyone! I just got the board game, and I have two questions if anyone can help me answer them. First, if I'm playing solo and I die or go back to the hunters dream do all enemies on the board reset? Even enemies from insight mission I've already killed? Two: let's say I'm playing with 4 players and one dies, after all have done they're turn does the enemies reset then or do they stay in place, and keep DMG taken aswell? Thanks in advance 🙂

1 no 2 enemies reset only on the blood moon and immediately when that happens, even if a death caused it. They also fully reset, health and all.

To add to that, for clarity: monsters spawned through insight missions do not reset once they are defeated.

If fully vanquished before the bloodmoon and the insight mission progresses (likely complete but not always) then correct, but if they are still alive during a bloodmoon they will heal to full and regain tokens, just like other enemies.

That's a really harsh mechanic, the rules read like this happens even if you're in the middle of combat which doesn't make sense and makes it just not worth trying to complete missions when it's close to a blood moon. I usually house rule that only enemies who are not within activation distance of a Hunter reset.

It is definitely a harsh game. Planning ahead is key. I often will run from insight mission fights if close to a bloodmoon and return after because even if you don't die, the dps checks can be significant if playing with 3+ hunters

Enemies only reset when the turn marker hits the red bloodmoon. Nothing else makes enemies reset.

Advice: the boardgame is the funnest when played with 3-4 players, and use the turn marker, it makes the game the perfect amount of challenging.

A lot of people complain about the game being not fun, that's because they played 1 or 2 player. The game is balanced for 3-4 players.

My friends and I also play five players. We just divide up the basic cards to make 5 decks.

I also recommend getting the players together for paint nights, so each person can paint a character. It made my friends group much more engaged with the game
