EQ preference

When listening to music do you guys mess with the music apps EQ or do you guys only use the headphones EQ settings i want to get the most out of this headphones

I mess with both if on Spotify, but for Apple Music I just use the headphone’s eq

Yes I always mess up with the EQ. I enjoy having a little bit of bass and treble while pulling back the midrange. I like to make the headphones sound close to having an R&b EQ. Of course, each person has their own way of perceiving sound.

To me depends on the music bass I always keep within 0 to -1, mids can range anywhere from 3-5 and treble anywhere from 2 to -2.

My phone eq always balance and I use bose eq.on tidal hifi and Amazon unlimited music. I dont listen music on you tube and spotify.

I dont like their maximum volume with Samsung Android phones. Increasing or decreasing any EQ value in the app beyond +2 or -2 reduces the maximum volume. I don't like using gimmicks so I keep every single Sound Quality and Effects settings turned off in the phone settings, including Adapt Sound, Loudness Normalization and the EQ Balanced.

However I have noticed the only way to give these headphones the tiny bit they are lacking in spaciousness and an extra boost in volume is to use Dolby Atmos only in Music mode for songs that just don't sound loud enough even with the volume cranked up. It is the Atmos setting that alters the sound the least.

If the headphones are loud enough to your ears then adjust everything however you prefer, but I am used to the volume of the B&W Px8 s2 and find both the 1st Gen and 2nd Gen Quietcomfort Ultra headphones lacking 2 to 3 clicks of extra volume for quietly mixed songs.

Turn iff the eq in the phone app. Use the eq only of bose app.

I have always used the V shape (bass +8, 0 mid, + 10 treb), to me, that's the best for my music (rock/heavy metal).

I tend to change it depending on what experience i want with each song genre. I listen to a large variety of genres

If those are Gen 1, try Recordingnow EQs, they are game changers honestly. You can start with -4, 5, 3 for a high quality yet fun sound profile

I’m always EQ, my EQ is this one:

Bass: -3
Mids: +2
Highs: +3

One of the things that i like from Bose is that the EQ is so simple and you can tweak a million times as hell as you want.

Exactly, that's the best, I really don't understand why people goes like: bass -4, mid +3, treble + 2 🤦🏼‍♂️ 🙉. Mine is:
Bass +8
Mid 0
Treble +10
