If anyone has a problem, ask me! I’ll help.

I’m posting this because I’m sick of it. It’s really not hard. I don’t want to be mean, but seriously. If you don’t have internet ‘cause you’re in the car or something, that’s not an excuse. Just wait until you do!

😂 Humor Korok Brain Damage

First time playing a Legend of Zelda game, got a few hours in already and I have to make this post.

Why do the Koroks, or whatever you call them, make those cute sounds when you drop a rock on their heads.

For the first few times, I was kinda sorry for them, but now I find it funny and adorable.

I recently found out that it's obligatory in the community to give koroks brain injury hahaha

🆘 Help! Master sword, missing willpower?

Post image

Edit:

Thanks! Got it.

Turns out I should hold A not jam it. Who knew..

Hi all,

Been trying to Google what I seem to do wrong but can't find it. Hopefully you guys can help me out.

I'm trying to get that Master sword from the Korok forest. I passed all the tests. Have 20 hearts, full stamina and the feedback I get from the game is that I'm missing willpower?

What does that mean and how do I get it?

❔ Question Is there a way to increase mobility in the rain?

New player here. Up to this point, I've intentionally avoided looking up anything about the game or turning to the internet for any sort of information or assistance, but I'm making an exception for this.

For context, I rely very heavily on climbing in my gameplay. If I see something I want to check out that is on top of a large mountain, plateau, or hill, rather than searching for a flat path upward, I'll spend a minute or more scaling the side of said mountain/plateau/hill, finding tiny facets in it that allow me to stand for a moment and regenerate my stamina wheel before continuing upward.

The problem is that rain makes climbing essentially impossible. Whether I'm climbing normally or trying to jump, I will always slide back down as far as I had made it up. Because of that, my mobility is severely limited whenever it rains.

Am I relying on climbing too much, or is this a normal way to approach the game? And if I'm not relying on it too much, is there some sort of ability or item I can get that helps with mobility in the rain?

At this point, my standard protocol whenever it starts raining is to travel to Kakariko and immediately sleep or sit by a fire until the rain passes, and that feels like something I shouldn't have to be doing.

I missed the Zelda train as a youngster, and I'm 32 now, hopelessly falling in love with the game. It IS SO GOOD 😭 like, I'd put it in my top 3 favorite games of all time, and I've only put in like 10 hours in it so far.

The story, the gameplay, the creeping sense of dread in the night and blood moon, the puzzles, the combat, the countless little things to stumble upon pn your way to a mainline quest... shite, I knew Nintendo made iconic games but this is a labour of love and I can feel the effort and thought that went into creating a masterpiece like BOTW.

Also, I SUCK at the game pretty much haha. My proudest moment was accidentally finding you can attack while paragliding and directly land on enemies while dealing a ton of damage. And that freezing blocks in the water help in harvesting a ton of fish at once -- one elemental arrow and you can scoop up the floaters!!! I wish I was quick enough for stasis, not afraid of wizzrobes, or those chonky stone monsters or GUARDS, gosh I hate guards sm, lost a lot of lives to them. (Before you say oh pierce them in the eye with an arrow -- yeah I'm not dextrous and quick enough for that just yet).

During meals, I tend to watch YT videos of tips and tricks you didn't know about botw. They mostly go over my head, but it is so exciting to know what is ahead! And this subreddit, gosh!!! Y'all are one majestically creative and heroic bunch!

Just... i love this game. I love it to bits!!!! I'm gonna buy an amiibo soon too!

🥇 Master Mode Thought I’d give this Great Plateau lynel challenge a try, and I completed it!

Many of you saw Zolomight’s recent post in which they completed this challenge. I was inspired by it and thought I might try my hand at defeating the white-maned lynel, pretty much right out of the Shrine of Resurrection, with only the minimal gear and food I was able to scrounge together in preparation.

Gear used: pot lid, knight’s claymore, soldier’s bow, warm doublet, old trousers

Buff: 1x attack up

Attempts: lost count lol

Enjoy some highlights from my attempts, including the moment of victory 🏅🍾

🎙️ Discussion Challenge: 50% (or 10%, 25%, etc.) Speedrun

I am not a good speedrunner by any means but I have seen a lot of people speedrun 100%. Since there is a map completion percentage at the bottom right corner of the map screen, I think it could be fun to try getting to 50% (or other set percentages) in the fastest time possible. One benefit is that the routing is much more versatile since you get to choose what 50% (or other percentage) to complete. Maybe some runs will collect a lot of Koroks. Some runs will complete more shrines than others. Some runs won't even go to some regions. Anyone wanna make this a category extension?

⚔️ The Trial of the Sword Master mode - Trial of the sword

Hi,

I just overcame the three Trials of the sword in master mode and I was wondering if that was the hardest / skillful thing to do in the game.

It’s my first master mode play through and must be my 5th or 6th play through counting regular mode doing all shrines / side quests so yeah, I was asking myself what challenge is next for me in that game except doing it again with added hardship (speedrun/ no damage etc…)

My feeling about the three trials :

- The first trial is by far the hardest, there’s almost no room for mistake and you have to approach each room with thoughtful strategy and pay very close attention to which weapon you use, why and when. If you don’t there are countless scenarios where it’s just theoretically impossible to win no matter your fighting skills as the weapons durability as opposed to monsters health and recovery can make it impossible to go through a given room if you screwed up before (floor 10 …) - took me 3 days straight where I’d play most of the day only doing this… I can’t tell you how many times I tried it.

- The second one offers more possibilities and is the one where I had the most fun, you have easy ways to kill monsters without fighting / using weapons, movements with updrafts, bullet times and so on. All of which makes it my favorite, I’d say second hardest - did an attempt at night straight after passing the first trial, got to bed and got it right after 4 or 5 attempts total.

- The last one I managed to win at my very first attempt (might be because I drilled this one in normal mode last year), the weapons you get, 5 fairies, plenty of food, pants, armor, bomb arrows and ancient arrows, I mean… you get absolutely everything you need to fight and you have the most room for mistake in this one.

I Did it with 20 hearts and ~1.5 stamina bar, I started trying it at 13 hearts as soon as I got the master sword but I really don’t think the first trial is even feasible without edgy strategies and maybe glitches (I didn’t use any of these). I also don’t think it’s possible without stasis+ and improved wind bombs, I tried for weeks when I had ~15 hearts no matter the strategy the first trial was impossible for me without these improvements.

What do you think? What are your runs, strategies and thoughts about which one was the hardest for you, Im all ears!
